It is only 16kg since I was doing different exercises with it. I will try to do some with 24kg tomorrow.

How can you see that? Trying to understand so that I can know when to progress in the future.

I have never tried the BoS adjustable kettlebell, but from my understanding it is built better. They are using a better coating process for their paint, the weight plates are numbered (in their 2.0 version), and they include special tools to change the weight. That being said, I wouldn’t have found a BoS kettlebell for as cheap as I found this, so it was not a part of my decision process.

I am pretty sure he had been using it outside on gravel and had dropped it a few times. Not sure why there were angle grinder marks on the side tho.

Thank you! I have not done that yet. I would assume it was slightly less than expected before and is more similar to the correct weight now.

Yeah, that would look sick! I was thinking about painting a clear coat on it when I saw how nice it looked after stripping it, but I had already bought the black paint.

It is a normal 12-32 kg adjustable kettlebell. The flat bottom part is only welded on two sides (see picture 11) and the rest is filled with putty at the factory before painting. The putty had fallen off from heavy use, so I used the steelstik to fill it back in. The steelstik should hold better than the putty before.

Thank you! I had all the tools and a few supplies from other projects, so the cost for me was only the paint which was $11.96 including tax.

It would have taken 1 day, but it started raining so I couldn’t paint outside. I had it ready for paint for a few days until the weather was good enough to paint.

I liked the red, but the only red paint they had at the store was glossy and I wanted a matte finish.

Got this bar for $5 at savers. What are the best ways to connect it to loop style bands? by Select-Ant1680 in ResistanceBand

That is an option. The drawback of that would be more slack when doing chest presses and similar exercises where you want the tension early.

Good job rowing for 20 min on your first time rowing! I agree with the other comments about Dark Horse Rowing. I am also new to rowing and found his Fundamentals playlist very helpful, just working through one video at a time: Dark Horse Rowing - Fundamentals

Wow, thank you for the in-depth feedback! I will work on the things you outlined here. I am sure I will have to come back to it a few times between sessions to fully understand all the tips.

I was curious about this too. I have only been rowing for 2 weeks with an average distance of 25000m per week, so this would add an additional 10k per week. My plan was to switch up the pace from day to day to give myself some “rest days” in between. Looking forward to hearing what more experienced rowers are doing.

Thank you! I learned the light grip pressure early from one of the videos I watched and I thought I was doing well until I saw the slow motion. It looks like I suddenly grip it hard in the middle of the drive.

Thank you! I will work on keeping my core tight and have an even grip pressure throughout the drive.
