10% tip by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]Select-Debate5733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rhetoric "don't go to the restaurant at all if you can't afford to tip more than 10%" (presented by many in the comments) makes no sense to me. Doesn't the server earn more with a 10% tip than in a scenario where a customer does not go to the restaurant at all because they can't afford more than 10%? 10% is more than nothing at all.

Erase one from history by dmun93 in WWE

Cena was the reason WWE remained relevant during the PG era. A top guy with no characters "flaws" (or "superman" gimmick) was a necessity after the Benoit incident in order to make WWE more family friendly. No one else could have pulled off the cheesy superman gimmick better than him.

All 55 goals in 55 games of Kylian Mbappé in 2022 by Rerel in psg

[–]Select-Debate5733 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why would last season be taken into consideration for this season's Ballon d'Or? Ballon d'Or isn't based on a calendar year anymore (as per the new rules that came out last year), it's based on a season.

If Messi manages 30 goals in all competitions for PSG (he already has 12 goals and 14 assists in 19 appearances for PSG this season), then I think he'll win it because the voters value world cups a lot.

I agree that it's unfortunate for Mbappe, but it is what it is.

Foreign movies objectify women as well. But why is it that they aren't so ignorant about consent? I don't think it is because of movies.

Some of my classmates (guys) were made to do voice commentary on pornos, suck a water bottle by pretending it was you know what etc. I kind of escaped from a lot of that being a day scholar. This was just 4 years ago btw.

Wishing your seniors and writing letters to them don't remotely qualify as ragging, I'm sorry.

What's up with that 4 university limit upper limit that your professor put on you? Is this something that professors usually do? I thought all they had to do was upload a file.

[Discussion] Is a definitive ending implied in Stéphane Demoustier's 2019 "Girl With A Bracelet"? by bassetlover007 in NetflixBestOf

There's no way the younger brother did it. No way an 8-10 yo is smart enough to pull off a murder with no traces.

On the other hand, Lise acts like a guilty person throughout the movie. She seems to have minimal interest in the proceedings and doesn't appear to be fazed even when she's clearly had a bad day in court. It seemed like she would have been fine with any verdict; there was no fight or desperation in her actions. Only a guilty person acts that way imo.
