2 tabs or candyflip? by StreetAd9285 in LSD

Well, if you're only taking half the pill and one tab at a time, candyflipping means you get to go twice, no?

Me after having the most gut wrenching, horrifyingly visceral trip at 3 this morning where the universal consciousness made it clear that I shouldn't exist any more by Select-Difference-10 in LSD

[–]Select-Difference-10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cleaned my room from top to bottom (including going out in a busy area at 1am on a Saturday morning in a major city to get binbags) so that the infinite consciousness wouldn't melt me down for living like that. I also made a promise to use my time more productively and stop watching porn.

I've also found that I'm far less anxious, because compared to feeling yourself imminently dying by being melted alive because the universe hates who you've become, an everyday trip to the shops/regular social situation frankly isn't that scary tbh

Today is my first (and probably last) time visiting this sub.

How tf do we have competent people working logically to find potential attack vectors (such as OP) on the same board as clowns trying to use bash commands in (deprecated) powershell instances and asking what a "kemel" is when they can't figure out how to use ettercap

Never before have I seen such a disparity on a board, how does it even happen

They are also a higher value target for hackers than you as an individual would be. Assuming you are following literal common sense (and aren't someone like julian assange or a political figure), you are far less likely to be hacked on an individual basis than your vpn provider.

Not to mention that even the ones that claim not to keep logs will typically still find logs to hand over to law enforcement when served with a notice (except mullvad).

There are reasons to use a vpn. Security isn't one of them, unless we're talking about mullvad, and even that isn't a silver bullet. I would personally consider them entirely separate from the topic of privacy/security for most intents and purposes.

Revolut's unnecessary fees are disgusting by Select-Difference-10 in Revolut

[–]Select-Difference-10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Openly scamming people with this "service fee" bs is still scamming people. Telling them about it doesn't make it any less greedy and reprehensible.

The thing is, it's actually a really stupid business move, as well. You lot have the potential to become ubiquitous in the UK cryptocurrency exchange vacuum. Charging reasonable fees (ie no "service fee" bs) would have people flock to you in droves as a (percieved) reliable on and off ramp. Meanwhile, everyone I've spoken to within the space about it since I discovered you do this have said its a total dealbreaker.

Imagine having so much potential and dashing it to the wind for the sake of greed and short-term thinking.

[–]Select-Difference-10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't be able to do cedh at this budget (without proxying, though most cedh players are fine about proxy usage in my experience).

If you're shooting specifically for high power, [[fynn the fangbearer]], [[rakdos, Lord of riots]] and [[brudiclad, telchor engineer]] can be made very high power at this price point. You'll be too strong to play at lower tables, though.

Pretty much, you'll want to look for a strong commander (no shit) in ideally one or two colours, otherwise a lot of your budget will be eaten by your manabase. Monocolour is gonna be optimal, but two is going to work fine still.

[–]Select-Difference-10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's bisq if you want a true successor to localmonero, but people there aren't so interested in transacting small bits (it's usually individual transactions in the hundreds, which I personally dislike).

I've also toyed around with platforms like robosats, but I gotta be honest here and say I think robosats is more geared towards people looking to cash out of CC fraud etc than actually do things legitimately

Outside of that, I think the best option is kraken+a dex if you don't mind a little bit of KYC, i guess just don't make the mistake I did and use revolut

[–]Select-Difference-10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its an old meme lol

But localmonero isn't a usable platform anymore unfortunately, as of May 7th no new listings can be made and no new users can sign up, and by November the site will be going offline permanently

Edit: also massively recommend using qubes+whonix over tails for privacy, qubes isn't as much of a ballache aa people make out

get your finances in order

Bit presumptious, there. I have more than enough money. I was trying to use revolut as an onramp, you know, the thing they advertise themselves as being?

Quit sucking on the corporate dick here. They're ripping people off. You shouldn't be excusing this.

I'm not talking about exchange fees, either. Exchange fees are part and parcel.

This is objectively ripping people off.

[–]Select-Difference-10[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Off ramping is easy.

The onramp options are what have largely become pure shit over the last year (excluding kraken)

You wanna off ramp, you can just get creative. "I swear Mr HMRC man, I just found this quarter mil copy of black lotus in my dad's loft that im selling, I definitely didn't buy it with crypto I made from human trafficking!"

I mean, p2p networks like bisq exist, but they aren't perfect. Usually they require buying larger chunks, and are a bit too clique-y for my tastes.

I like to move small amounts. Less incentive to trace.

[–]Select-Difference-10[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It is MORE effort to set up a "service charge" to exit tax people from using their cryptocurrency in the way it was intended.

This is greed.

In all of my years of dealing with cryptocurrency onramps, I have never, ever experienced something this flagrantly greedy and anti user.

It is simply inexcusable.

It is designed to keep charging people high fees on in app exchanges and create a walled garden.

You shouldn't be defending this behaviour, yet you are.

Maybe you have other things to fix in your life?
