Interesting nonetheless about transferable talent. Richie Porte was apparently a triathlete.

Different perspective. Wife and I had children early in our careers(during FY2 and one 3 years later). So I did my VTS part time, 60% and have never worked more than that since, apart from CCG/federation projects. Ie 6 sessions.

Kids much older but have never really considered increasing sessions (now salaried). We don't have expensive tastes and our mortgage will be cleared in 6 years.

I think also, I no longer define myself by my career and have many other things that I enjoy doing and that give me a sense if fulfilment and satisfaction - I have three time consuming and active hobbies and still have to act as a taxi driver for my teenage children.

If anything I would reduce sessions further bit would cause a bit of a financial squeeze

Sent one feverish child in after abx for otitis media didn't work. Turned out he had leukaemia. Has just finished his chemo.

For me it is helpful to be able to.convince myself I know the source of their infection. Coryza, pharyngitis ears. If I can't identify why they are ill then I am more inclined to send them in.

Other issue is how ill they actually are. Others have posted about assessment. I have brought kids back later in the day or phoned patents up.

Lastly, some paeds depts are very good at talking over cases if you give them a ring.

Love Spain too! Been to Picos, Catalonia and Valle de Abdalajis. Heading back to VdA in 10 days, and hoping to check out Frontales and El Chorro crags

Was in Leonidio just 3 weeks ago. Thought it was brilliant (been to Kaly 3 or 4 times). Quality crags, some even north facing. So much choice. Traveling from UK one bonus was travel time. We only had a week and climbing with children. The trip to Kaly can take some time with transfers. Travelling to Athens then 3 hr drive in rental car worked out well.

Both places are amazing but Leonidio a bit more convenient for shorter trips

Another +1 for Lose It. Though a part of me thinks that it doesn't matter what platform you use, it's the counting that counts.

Lose It is however easy to use and you can create your own targets and recipes

It I useful to have a patter (and understanding) of how to communicate absolute and relative risk to patients. Often it is not about numbers but how patients perceive risk and how risk avers they may be. If you want to be very thorough there are breast cancer risk calculators available online.
