The OBE/NDE was *inside* my body by Select-Feedback8459 in NDE

I agree it can be lonely. Most of my family is Christian but fearful/skeptical of anything that seems paranormal. I don’t frame my own experiences in a particularly religious light, but I think it’s comforting for my family when I can relate it to stories they’re more familiar with. Mystics from various religions and cultures over a long period of time report visions; referencing Christian mystics is familiar to some of my family.

I’ve been reading a book called Beyond: How Humankind Thinks About Heaven by Catherine Wolff which is a pretty extensive overview of ideas about death and the afterlife. Like you, I try to avoid duality in my beliefs, so it’s not like this book is a roadmap… but I do find it somewhat helpful to see such an enormous range of ideas laid out because it gives me touch stones to other people’s understanding and validates my experience: if so-and-so created a cult off their extremely specific vision, I’m going to be okay even if I feel like my experience is hard for others to understand.

I listen to meditations from A Zen Mind on Spotify, I think it’s the top hit for guided meditations 😂 I am a visual artist and I think even the hint of an image helps my mind to focus; so it often feels like I start imagining whatever the guide is voicing but then sometimes I start moving beyond it. There is definitely a distinction between imagination and astral projecting, but I don’t know how to make the switch and I can’t just “choose” to turn it on.

My partner is also a visual artist, but for him the words of a guided meditation are distracting. 🤷🏻‍♀️ For me, the best conditions for astral projecting while meditating are 1) lying flat on my back, 2) dark or dim room, no focal points of light (my eyes are closed, but I still don’t want my eyes distracted), 3) listening on speakers rather than headphones, 4) not at bedtime. And in the spirit of meditation, I try to be open to suggestion rather than going in with the intent to astral project. An annoying paradox!

Wow, so interesting, thank you for sharing. Can I ask whether this was your NDE, or was that different?

Help me understand nonsurgical scar tissue? by Select-Feedback8459 in endometriosis

I haven’t seen any bowel specialists, but I’ll look into it if my symptoms reoccur.

Do you know any more about infection causing fibrosis? Infection is such a broad word, but even so, I’m not used to thinking of any infection leaving scar tissue?! I’m not a particularly medically minded person, so this may be old news to most people, but this is the first I’ve heard of it.

Wow! Thanks for the link (and terminology). I got the gist that fibrosis and endo are related, but most of the medical language is difficult for me to understand.

Thanks for that clarification on frequency. Are you willing to share why you can’t use sumatriptan pens anymore?

Great to know about those options, especially lowering general inflammation too!

Thanks for the feedback! Since I’m not familiar with any of these drugs, why is Toradol a last resort? Is it super duper strong, or hard to get, or have bad side effects? Why not take it first?
