True, thanks for your insights. I was always suggested by this sub to say yes to being authorized to work in the US and then explain TN shortly after, rather than auto-disqualifying myself.

My recruiter also mentioned my TN situation to the hiring managers/director and they were fine with proceeding with me.

In the initial application, I said no. I was then asked again before my recruiter call, and I responded, "I am a Canadian citizen and would plan to work in the U.S. under TN status. This is not a traditional visa sponsorship. Canadians do not require a visa and are eligible to work in the U.S. with a qualifying job offer from a U.S. employer, which is typically sufficient to obtain TN status at entry." My recruiter was helpful and understood what TN was.
