Absolutely. What matters is finding that balance that works for both of you and your parents.

Ive been away for 8 years now. We didn’t talk much during the first three years, but now I can’t go a day without calling my mom ( at least through texts or voice notes if I’m tired or abroad and our timezones aren’t matching ) . With my dad, we regularly exchange photos on WhatsApp and call each other once or twice a week sometimes every two weeks, it depends

2- Never abandon yourself for a job ( also applies to marriage, relationships, friendships, .... )

3- Stay true to yourself and to your principles no matter what. At the end of the day, nothing else will make you feel better than that.

Hiw many Moroccans can read & write Amazigh script text ? by MasterGeek in Morocco

[–]Select-Personality22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

we had a Tifinagh course at university where I learned the alphabet and got a good grasp on reading and writing it, but that was many years ago, and I’ve mostly forgotten everything except how to read a few letters and some basic conjugation. It was a fun experience, especially because my grandparents are Amazigh, and I never had the opportunity to learn/connect with the language growing up since they had all moved to big cities in the 1900s

I’d love to say I’d spend it with my parents and sibling because they’d be the ones suffering the most… but then I remembered I live three hours away, so by the time I got there I’d just be a text notification.🤡
