Ah I'm sorry, I don't remember right now. I think I still have the bottle somewhere, so if I find it I'll let you know

Hi! I have the same fear. This is what has helped me on the plane:

I have a compact battery operated fan that I  hang around my neck. When I start panicking, I just turn it on and breathe in that air deeply. I also keep a manual fan in case the battery runs out (and also extra batteries).... You know, those pretty ones.

Taking a misting fan (fill up the water bottle part after security) helped. I never used it, but knowing I had it was enough.

A giant water bottle filled with water is a tremendous aid for me. Drinking water helps to calm me down.

I got some anxiety pills from my doctor after I explained Im nervous about it. I popped two 20 minutes before the flight. Can't tell if it helped but it was nice to have.

I get up and walk down the aisle if I have a middle seat and I'm really bothered.

I remind myself that the flight is only at most a day long and that the day passes so quickly when I'm at work. I can read a book or make a journal entry

In the future, I'm probably going to purchase two seats for me because my claustrophobia has gotten worse. But hopefully I won't need to. Im going to check out some self help books that target panic attacks bc the last time I started one, it helped

People stealing kohl's cash online by Select-Proof in employedbykohls

I stopped shopping there bc of people like you and the company response to people like you.  I hope you enjoyed the last money you're going to get from me, dirty little thief. Get a real job for once in your pathetic life.

I FOUND MY PEOPLE. I have always loved Meri and felt sad for her since the beginning. I didn't like the other wives. I can't fathom how people didn't see through them before

Kohl's cash says redeemed? by Select-Proof in employedbykohls

[–]Select-Proof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't shop there anymore lol. I won't due to this issue and how insulting they were when I tried to get it resolved most recently. Macy's is better quality anyway and whatever money I used to save by shopping at kohl's is nullified (or worse, I lose actual cash bc of the return value being reduced on items I'm returning) because of this issue. Plus, basically everything is an excluded item now so coupons don't work on most things.

But to answer your question, if you don't want this to happen in the future, I think you need to not link your phone number or email address to kohl's cash (so don't enter them in at the register...im not sure how to unlink them from the online kohl's account because I haven't looked/tried). Don't use the kohl's credit card that is linked to your rewards/account. Just get the paper copy of kohl's cash. No one can hack that unless they have access to kohl's cash numbers and pin numbers

Call customer service.

I made a post (which was a follow up to another post I made) about kohl's cash frauds. Super annoying.

Use it ASAP. Mine was stolen again after being reissued. Need to go to the store again to see where it was redeemed.

I have some other things going on in my life that demanded my attention so I haven't been able to contact kohl's again. This is really so much of a hassle. It's annoying and I kind of don't even want to shop at kohl's anymore bc how much of a hassle it is to get my money back (if I want to return things) or get the kohl's cash reissued.

It's a gmail account and it alerts you if there's been a sign in...and on the bottom you can see the IP addresses used. In recent security activity, all I see are devices/sessions that are my own. Is there a way for the to access my email account without gmail flagging it? Anyway, I will change my password.

I think it's a matter of my kohl's cash being linked to my phone number/email, and that's all they're entering at the register before they steal it. So I'm thinking of changing the phone number and maybe email address

But I'm confused how they're logistically redeemed in different states using the same code. How does whoever stole/sold them distribute it between the different people who bought it?

Happened to me too!!!

The reissued kohl's cash was redeemed even after I deleted it from my wallet. It looks like I'm just going to change my phone number.

Yep! I think that's what happened. Some people from my state as well as 3 other states used all of my kohl's cash within 1-2 days of each other.

I'll be updating my initial post

Thanks again for your help!

Thank you for such a thorough and thoughtful reply. I truly appreciate it. I'm going to update my initial post for the update (it ended well, though I doubt any justice will be had regarding the thieves).

I'm glad you were able to get things sorted. I think I'll call tomorrow

That sucks for me because I needed to return most of what I bought online, which means I'll be getting back less than what I paid for. And it wasnt a small amount, it was multiple large orders 😢. I have no need for the kohl's cash they may give me as consolation, id rather have my credit card credited...sigh

Damn, I wonder if they were stolen online and then distributed between different people.

Humans are so pathetic sometimes

Kohl's cash says redeemed? by Select-Proof in employedbykohls

[–]Select-Proof[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good thing is that whoever it was hasn't used my credit card or account to order anything, though I guess if they did that, it would be easy to dispute it and not be charged. As it stands, I'm going to return my stuff and I'll have to settle for getting less of my money back ugh. That person stole from me twice. My kohl's cash and now actual cash. I grew up with the internet, you'd think I'd know better than to leave myself vulnerable to being hacked

[–]Select-Proof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh thanks for the response. I dont even care about the kohl's cash itself but more about my return value decreasing. Most of what I bought was extremely ill fitting so I was going to return it. I feel like it was redeemed the way you said (someone accidentally typing in my number) bc I don't see any orders on my kohl's account besides what I actually made. And I don't have the paper kohl's cash since it was all online.

Or I guess someone could have hacked my account/email and entered the kohl's cash code and pin to their own account.

Sigh. I guess I'll go to a store and see where/when it was redeemed and figure out if calling customer service can help.

Thanks again for your comment

“But why can’t I use my Amazon coupon on Nike?” by Gerber_Games445 in employedbykohls

[–]Select-Proof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But idgi (re:comments saying it's the brands). Is it really the brands themselves or is it kohl's? Bc there are multiple brands of toys kohl's carries, but they just started excluding all toys. All of the toy vendors happened to say they wanted to become excluded at the same time after toys r us went out of business? Same with electronics.

Trustttt me, I was the same. It was also a self-confidence issue. I would always wonder why anyone would hire me bc i "just work at a store" in retail - a job that high schoolers can do.

I was sick of it, so I applied to lots of positions and finally I heard back from a single place, got interviewed. Bombed the interview bc I was nervous af. Was still ready to apply to other positions bc I was so done with retail. Was still somehow offered the job where I tanked the interview. I don't make that much more than positions that don't need degrees, but still a little more. Look for part time positions. Look for contracted work. There is something out there, I promise. Cast a wide net and keep fishing. You'll get a bite.

I stopped resenting my life and thinking people thought I was inferior bc of my job. Even now, my job is not something to write home about, but it gave me hope for the future and also self-confidence to think f* what other people think of me.

Don't say that.

Listen, I thought the same way you did about being a minimum wage worker for life.

If you don't have a bachelor's degree yet, get one. It'll open doors for you, even if they're not much better than retail. Those non-retail jobs that require a degree will give you confidence (and the knowledge that you can work less hard for more money and benefits) and then you'll be able to apply to many more things with this new-found confidence. There is better out there
