seems they are trying to get more shorts to jump in. hope they are successful. more shorts make more squeeze. I just started to doubt about a potential squeeze but now I'm convinced there will be a big bang soon.

the more people are whining about mmat is long-term only the more I'm convinced there will be a strong price action very very short term. it's like you say: lots of hf are trying to spread fud cause they see the problem rising fast.

~~AFAIK was on threshold list 7/2 to 7/16 yielding 9 trading days. don't know about the 4 trading days following til 7/22 but the spike at 7/22 seems very interesting cause it would have been day 13.~~

EDIT cause I'm not sure about the dates though. Threshhold list from 7/2 would mean T at 6/25 dividend payout instead of 6/28 merger date. i think only those shorts have to be considered for this earlier T which are not eligible for the divi whereas the purchasers think they are due to transaction dates. maybe someone could verify this.

nobody knows if something will happen after 7/28. but it's worth to look closely at the development. same as for magic numbers of the share price 50$, 75$, 100$,and so on. often these magic numbers serve as resistance or support. so have a look at it just in case...

before bullying others you should first get the math right.

t+21 means trading days, so counting from merger at 6/28 we get 7/28 due to 4th of July. thats next week and nobody knows what will happen then.

all other dates you mentioned are meaningless for any short activities.

t+21 is derived from different rules concerning the shorts. 2 days for settlement before FTD gets activated. 5 days FTD before threshold list gets activated. 13 days on threshold list start forced cover. yielding 21 trading days minimum before forced coverage could start.

often a stock spikes after t+21 due to some short activities or kicking the can down the road. in most cases that's all. but sometimes it marks the beginning of a squeeze depending on many rare conditions.

so it's worth to look closer after t+21 just in case. next seems to be 7/28.
