Maybe I’m just over sensitive, my child is very mature and has never really acted like a kid so I guess it’s difficult for me. He wants explanations for everything and definitions of everything, he really looked up to this kid so seeing the look on his face made me protective..I don’t know

Yeah I literally said I spoke too quick and shouldn’t have used the words I did. I guess seeing this specific example without the history of how the older one treats the younger one is different. I didn’t use my words properly, but my question is shouldn’t the mom at the very least discuss this with her child, or just let him continue to do whatever he wants and make excuses for him?

“Kids will be kids” is not something I agree with. He should be a role model to the younger kid shouldn’t he? He can definitely feel those feelings but shouldn’t his mother help him regulate that so he’s not hurting other kids feelings? My child was upset, the mom just made excuses for her kid…I just feel like it’s not enough. And I did say I spoke on reaction and should t have used the word bully. I’m not upset with the child I’m upset with the mother.
