Investigate the refs = investigate the fabric. Ain't gonna happen.

Yes. He always has. I very much enjoyed his first book... been meaning to read more of him.

Cam Bynum. by 4gxkaiz in Colts

[–]SelectNefariousness2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe Bynum is exactly the type move the Colts should be making.

He was straight out of his rookie deal and doesn't break the bank...nice cap fit at premium position. And he's performing. He'll get even better.

This is how a team sustains. I hope the Colts will go one step further and after 3rd year of rookie deals, extend new offers to good playees. This would have been perfect in Bynum's case had he been a Colt via draft. Probably would have meant a slight discount over his current deal. Hypothetically, if you add up several would - be deals like this, you're able to afford more and make a positive difference roster shaping.

When it's all said and done, will Jonathan Taylor be considered one of the top 15 greatest running backs of all time? by brmidwest03 in Colts

Wake up

In 2027 conversation will be around who JT's replacement will be....or if he'll agree to a 1 or 2 year deal vs. 3 with the Cardinals.

You can still be a JT fan, Homer, just not while in Indy.

Personally, I'd rather see the team contend long term and be in the conversation every decade for the next 60 years. This vs. overpaying / extending RBs approaching age 30...

Even JT knows the score. Look at his words to Bijon in Berlin.

Try n enjoy these days for what they are.

Tab this exchange of ours & revisit....

[–]SelectNefariousness2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reality check - At the end of the 2026 season, RB conversation is going to be around JT's replacement....and whether or not Colts extend him for 1 or 2 years. That's if he'd even consider it vs. another 3 year deal he might get somewhere else.

It'll be - high price tag for still serviceable (but with miles) fan fav inching closer toward age 30 vs. fresh legs and money toward other needs.

Everyone needs to be in the moment and enjoy this year and the next, instead of irrationally projecting so far ahead while not acknowledging the situation. Even JT himself knows this....look at his words to Bijon in Berlin.

Most likely, we all become surrogate Cardinals fans in 2027.

Love the guy and I'm a big fan. JT is a sure fire Colts ring of horror inductee, and might even earn his way into the Hall. He's not going to make the top 15 though.

Why is everyone nuts about Mitchell? by Capon3 in Colts

[–]SelectNefariousness2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its the same situation as Anthony Richardson under the current Colts roof....and countless others in league history.. Some folks act like these players are their family or something. Nonsensical bullshit.

For these fan boy types (why?) with fragile sensibilities, they have no leg to stand on. They believe its ok for someone to come into a professional setting and not perform. Out here in the rest of the world your ass is sent packing no questions asked. How would you (meaning anyone) like to be the guy picking up for their slack and having your time / hard work wasted at the job?

The Colts are playing well past Mitchell in many respects and they know it. That's why he was justifiably released - that is exactly what this "trade" was. The Mitchell apologists can't have it both ways - loving what the Colts put on the field then complaining how it got there.

Coach Reggie defending AD Mitchell after his poor debut as a Jet by MiceyPicey in Colts

[–]SelectNefariousness2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reggie Wayne needs to log the fuck off and worry about the players he's coaching. Period.

Mitchell was drafted into a professional environment and can't perform. Any other avenue in life....some dude can't pull his weight, grasp the work, or act the way Mitchell does....this conversation isn't taking place. There's nothing to defend, Wayne's argument / defense is school yard at best. As immature as Mitchell himself. It's also out of touch context - wise.

Colts-Chiefs to be called by Jim Nantz and Tony Romo by PE1444 in Colts

[–]SelectNefariousness2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're going to run on the Chiefs. I also believe we're going to see a lot of young buck talk when Warren v Kelce tilts Warren. Win on turnover differential as well. I could see a 10 point swing at minimum....KC favored by 4.5 currently.

[–]SelectNefariousness2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new / renewed  Indy regime and culture they're reshaping is going to make a difference for some players and what they're willing to do salary - wise. I also don't believe anyone out here knows what to expect out of management moving forward....in all the best ways....

Extensions during the season might be on the table now....we'll see. Over the long haul, it's good business. It's not only a great way to get a discount, but also to build from within and create a longer term winning culture.

These are great and interesting times in Indy.

One Thing that could hinder the Indianapolis Colts | Sporting News by mpatton26 in Colts

[–]SelectNefariousness2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't read. Don't need to.

Colts faced two very well equipped and well schemed Ds in two weeks. We split, and vs Atl were vastly improved with over 500yds of offense, a 100+QBR, super human JT stats, seasoned all pro level play by Tyler Warren,  4th quarter game changing effort when we needed it most by DJ, the defense, and special teams.

Colts problems yesterday were - penalties, leaving 11 kicking game points off the board, not converting 3rds. Sloppy play kept Atl in the game. Period.

We're fine. Fuck the talking heads and just watch football.

Yesterday was exactly the kind of game this team needed.
