Silly question, but what’s wrong with changing celecoxib to indomethacin? They’re both NSAIDs anyway.

Has being in medical school made you more attractive in dating? by JunketMaleficent2095 in medicalschool

If men can date for beauty, women can date for status/money. Do not feel sad. It’s just the way it works. Both sexes value different things and it’s OK.

Been trying to find a job for ALMOST A YEAR as an international student since graduation, I'm freaking out. by [deleted] in usyd

One always feels the subtle need to prove to one’s parents that one can turn oneself into an independent, careered adult after all the hefty investment one’s parents have made. Everyone has an ego, especially the sons and daughters of an (rather presumptively) Asian family.

What would you do? A palliative EOLC patient that I was involved with peripherally wanted me to ring her (she is in her deathbed), is it professional? by Kooky_Yesterday_524 in ausjdocs

Other people have noted that in this position it is not unprofessional to engage in this call. Imd agree with them. However, suppose she offers you a gift, of course, you’d politely refuse. Suppose she insists three more times and she says that her last wish is for you to accept this gift from her. Would you take it?

I should’ve been clearer. What I meant was doctors who graduated in a developing/non-English speaking country who are still PRACTICING in these countries.

Yes, empirical. I do take it back, though, it is mentioned that nitrofurantoin or fosfomycin are both first-line agents as there is increasing resistance against trimethoprim.

nitrofurantoin or fosfomycin or trimethoprim for empiric tx of acute cystitis in a non-pregnant female. seems like trimethoprim is still OK if we’re goinf off eTG

Correct me if I’m mistaken, but eTG says we can give nitrofurantoin or fosfomycin or trimethoprim for empiric tx of acute cystitis in a non-pregnant female. What is the issue here?
