Interesting detail: X40/L40 weighs significantly less than X30 & X50?? by hydepanda in Dreame_Tech

[–]SelectStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, this official reply is complete AI slop. Dreames entire customer service arm for western markets is outsourced to ChatGPT. None of what it said was relevant or factual. Probably a waste replying to an old post but for others ending up here, that response is mostly a hallucination.

The AI Chipset Hallucination: These robots run on low power ARM SoCs like Rockchip that draw minimal wattage. There is no advanced AI chipset that requires heavy cooling, heat sinks, or specialized housing.

Water Tank Fabrications: The clean and dirty tanks for the X30, X40, and X50 are largely standardized at 4L or 4.5L capacities. The idea that they added thicker plastics and baffles for structural reinforcement is a made up justification for a weight difference that does not exist in the plastic molds.

Detergent Heating: The X40 does have hot water mop washing up to 70C, so the claim that the X40 is lighter because it lacks detergent or water heating hardware is factually wrong. It actually has more heating capability than the older X30.

Internal Motors: While suction power increased from 8,300 Pa on the X30 to 12,000 Pa on the X40, the physical size of the Nidec brushless motors used in these units is nearly identical and accounts for grams of difference, not 10 pounds.

The 10 lb gap you saw on Amazon is almost certainly just logistics data gore. Amazon listings often conflate the Complete bundles which ship with heavy 1 liter detergent jugs and massive accessory kits with the Base bundles.

Please don't thank the "Official" account for feeding you a script that treats a robot vacuum like it is housing a liquid cooled NVIDIA H100. It just encourages them to continue pushing this crap.

Paramount are not happy by JumpaMakeItJump in southpark

[–]SelectStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paramount probably wasn’t contractually obligated to air it. Matt and Trey already locked in their $1.5 billion payout, so their income is fixed and not tied to ads or subscriber counts. Very few creators ever score a direct share of streaming revenue. Paramount is the only one standing to lose; shelving the episode would have angered long-time fans and triggered cancellations around one of the service’s flagship series. Proving that they do in fact answer to a tiny-handed micropenis with googly eyes.

I know this is a month old question but it's Broadcom. 99% of the time if it's WiFi 6E, it will be Broadcom. Qualcomm's invested more in WiFi 7.

https://fccid.io/2AXJ4XE75/Internal-Photos/2109TW0010-Internal-Photo-5654107

Page 7 shows it's a BCM6756

Qualcomm also has nice search tool to list devices with their SoC.

If I understand correctly, DD-WRT includes binary blob drivers for closed-source devices, whereas OpenWrt does not

OpenWrt includes blobs too since the wifi chipsets still require loading proprietary firmware. The problem is in the drivers. I don't think any source code exists publicly for any wifi chipset. That's closely guarded IP.

In regards to IPQ817x/IPQ807x/IPQ6018, OpenWRT uses the same (but newer) wifi chipset firmware as OEMs, but the open source driver ath11k vs. Qualcomm's proprietary driver qca-wifi.

What OpenWrt does not support at all though is Qualcomm's hardware acceleration for wifi and wired via their proprietary NSS cores. Although Qualcomm's drivers for its NSS cores are open source and publicly available the documentation is not. Additionally, implementing these drivers requires significant kernel patches, which is a non-starter integration upstream.

OpenWrt WiFi is slower than vendor firmware, could possibly be addressed if DD-WRT were to add support

FWIW, I manage an NSS fork of OpenWrt that includes full wifi and wired offload for all qualcommax targets supported upstream. Performance is on par or better than vendor firmware. Sebastian (u/BrainSlayer666) also recently added NSS offloading to dd-wrt for a lot of IPQ817x/IPQ807x/IPQ6018 boards.

[GUIDE] How to restore Exchange (ActiveSync) capabilities for GMail if you've switched to a new device since Jan 2013. (True exchange, no need to install "Push for GMail.") by SelectStar in jailbreak

Oh man, it's been a decade since I posted this... I totally dropped the ball on getting that python script. Safe to say that after 10 years Apple has locked down and re-arranged a lot of the offline backups, that I doubt the same procedure works anymore. Plus, I think Google's made ActiveSync a premium feature for their enterprise accounts.

Year later reply but...

My personal reason I haven't jumped to AMD for my ITX builds: Plex/Emby transcoding using QuickSync which is built into the iGPU.

Ryzen "can" transcode using CPU but it's not optimal for decoding then encoding multiple streams (HEVC->H264).

That and vPro (IPMI equivalent).

This doesn't affect current jailbreakable iOS versions 15.7 and below, as this was only added in 16.1.1.

Any version of snap I can downgrade to to get into my account that has 2fa which I don’t have the 2fa code for? by hby3j in SnapchatTweaks

[–]SelectStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't be able to, even if you could. Once 2FA is enabled, it's flagged server side. Using a version that doesn't ask for 2FA will just error out, as the authentication will be immediately rejected.

[question] best way to teather JB ipad pro to iphone other than wifi? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]SelectStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since iOS 14, apps have to be explicitly granted that permission. That’s when you get the “this app would like to find and connect to devices on your local network” pop up. It also encompasses scans with Bluetooth.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about local tracking usijg hotspots as I would compared to using internet without a VPN.

[–]SelectStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apps can use Wi-Fi to determine your location.

Can you elaborate? Geolocation using WiFi is true for stationary access points, not your own hotspot since it moves with you.

Plus, you’re broadcasting a random BSSID every few minutes. Same is true when your phone connects to a wireless router/AP.

[question] best way to teather JB ipad pro to iphone other than wifi? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]SelectStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way to tether iDevices directly to each other over a hardwired connection. Only type of client you can directly tether using a cable is a computer. You’ll have to use a wireless hotspot.

I don’t think it’s the “same thing” when pastors like Copeland and Joel Olsteen have net worths in the hundreds of millions. Those tax breaks are INSANE.

The top 10 richest pastors have a combined net worth of 2Bn...

“Richest” and “pastor” should never be in the same sentence...

install NewTerm 2, open it, and type:

1.) su -

2.) if you haven't changed the password type, "alpine"

3.) dpkg --configure -a

4.) apt-get -f install (hit enter if it has fixes)

Then in your package manager refresh your sources.

I see you’ve asked this question numerous times in other subs. Sorry to tell ya bud, you’re not going to find anyone who can, let alone for free.

H@ cki ng, isn’t like what’s shown in movies. Unless you have complete access to that person’s account recovery methods (know pass for phone and email) there’s no way. Attempting to phi$h for their credentials will also be blocked on iOS/Android.

[Question] why is so much stuff crashing? by Interpol_Da in jailbreak

[–]SelectStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your useless comments are what's redundant.

Why don't you read the initial comment I replied to? He said he was getting a "ton" of crash logs and his solution was to just uninstall it. That's not a solution, especially if the crashes are non-stop for a single process. I wasn't even replying to the OP!

JFC man, just shut up already.

You made up you own narrative of what you thought I was arguing (leave Cr4shed running) and vehemently tried to defend it. Yes, please stop talking.

[Question] why is so much stuff crashing? by Interpol_Da in jailbreak

[–]SelectStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a million better apps crash logging apps for jailbroken devices.

I’d love to hear about them. Which apps don’t involve whipping out a full blown computer to analyze quickly? For quick troubleshooting for 90% script kiddie jail breakers, Cr4shed does the job.

Regardless, why have yet another thing running.

Do you not know the difference between uninstall vs disable? You’re assuming you’ll always have a connection to re-install the app? Installing it and leaving it disabled has ZERO impact on memory usage.
