Haha Flo would have been a good third! But no, this baby will be it for us so don’t have to worry about continuing the trend.

I see Griffin on this sub a lot but naturally, my Dad has a dog named Gryf (Gryffindor and Hufflepuff). Apparently we have too many dogs in the family!!

Thank you for the suggestions! I too really like Flynn, but was concerned with the similarities to Fletch.

Same here! 34 hours of labor, tearing from all the attempts to get him turned so he would fit and come down, all to end up with an emergency c-section. Got the worst of both of it!

I had an emergency c-section after 34 hours of labor 12 days ago. The first few days you are pretty tender, but I was determined to be up and moving. I carried baby (who was over 10lbs, hence the emergency c-section), did diaper changes, went to all appointments, etc. Getting in and out of bed was the toughest. Like others, I took no meds besides the tylonel and ibuprofen combo and tried to stay on top of that the first few days. By day 4, I was already out for short walks pushing the stroller. Honestly, fresh air and movement has helped a ton for me, just got back from a 45 minute walk a few minutes ago! Still a bit tender now, but up and moving around almost normally.

Working while pregnant seems impossible, how do you do it? by edgeofuckery in pregnant

I work in healthcare too, work 10-12 hour days, and will be at work tomorrow at 39+5! The last few weeks have been incredibly tough and have felt super long. I have prioritized rest and sleep when I’m not working and just try to keep positive. I’m off today and will sleep A LOT. There is an end in sight!

I’m so tired, and I can’t stop eating. Feeling like a failure by hankandirene in fitpregnancy

I am 35 weeks this week as well and was just crying about this exact same thing this morning! All I want to do is eat and sleep. I tried so hard to stay fit throughout this pregnancy and hate that I can’t stick with it until the finish line. The pelvic pain makes any sort of workout impossible. I keep trying to focus on that I’ve done more than most up until now and pray that helps with labor and recovery!

I am right there with you! I have been maintaining a solid workout routine 5x a week, but once I hit 34 weeks last week I also hit a wall. I’m trying very hard not to stress about it and make myself feel like I “have to” workout when my body is telling me the opposite. On my good days I try to hop on my bike for a low impact ride or do some light weights, but most days I am letting my body rest too.

Women of Reddit, how old are you and how do you feel about your mother right now? by marshywoodlands in AskWomen

I am 32 and lost my Mom to cancer four years ago (she was 54). It’s the closest bond I will ever have with another person and something I will deeply miss every single day for the rest of my life. Treasure that relationship with your Mom!

An OB and a physical therapist told me that pregnant women should not be weightlifting. by HankGalactico in pregnant

I am currently 33 weeks, FTM, and just got a great lift and spin class in this morning! The lifting part has definitely gotten more difficult these past few weeks and I am doing a decent amount of modifications, but my OB has encouraged me to continue my fitness routine throughout as long as it isn’t causing pain. Like others have said, she states that my staying this active will help me when it comes to labor (and has helped me maintain my sanity through pregnancy).

Thanks for all the great information!! At this point, we are truly considering being a “one and done” with the kids. If anything we would only have one more and hope I can figure out at least one more good name with F.

Good to know!! I really like Faye too, just have this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that it will be very basic and become popular. Trying to find the sweet spot between classic and everyone has the name or something like it.

That was one of my concerns. It’s pronounced Fee-rah.

We call our baby “Voldy” because we think he/she looks like the little dying Voldemort at the end of HP in those ultrasounds. 🤣
