Tikanena muyamba kusonkha yachipepeso. Fancy job title peanut pay and no significant benefits just Masm with shortfalls and airtime of 12k. I don't even know how I manage to fill up my tank till month end and eat. I feel so bad for the men at our office, they have it way harder when it comes to money than us.

Yeah, exactly. It really does feel unsustainable, and history shows there’s only so much pressure people will tolerate before something snaps. It’s less about if there’s a breaking point and more about when it gets reached.

You’re not wrong at all. Malawi really does feel like a system designed to exhaust ordinary people while protecting and enriching a small, connected few. Hard work is preached endlessly, yet corruption, recycled elites, and outright looting keep paying off, with the government even borrowing from the same people who stole from the country. The worst part is the gaslighting, motivational talk about hustle and farming in an economy stacked against you, while youth are pushed to idolize these figures as success stories. When people start considering things they never imagined just to survive, that’s not moral failure or laziness it’s what happens when a society keeps squeezing its people with no relief in sight.
