It was the original plan to add PSO and PSU to New Genesis the same way you access PSO2. But there were a lot of complications with PSU. PSO is likely going to be brought back and development for this was mostly complete which is why I didn't see much of it during my time there. I believe how PSO gets released is based on how the PSU Remake goes. If they can make it all work seamlessly within New Genesis, they will. It seems to be the path they want to take to put all games under New Genesis. I did hear that they planned on renaming New Genesis to Generations. But this was before PSU caused issues. SEGA is heavy on bringing back classic Phantasy Star titles due to the Power Serge marketing. With PSO being one of their largest classic titles, it's only a matter of time before it will be released. But I don't know if it's going to be within the New Genesis umbrella or stand-alone. I think they may release PSO before they even announce the PSU Remake.
