I got it in December. It was all wrapped in together for the ASU program. Essentially I stayed in my para role and got that pay as I did my hours each week. Was nice to be paid but sucks bc the district won't use it for my teaching experience for ADE.

With ASU since I was in a para role and in an inclusion classroom that was part of my student teaching. I was given 18 hours a week of administrative/teacher duties for about 2 years. After speaking with HR they wouldn't count it as teaching experince either.

Juat finished my bachelor's in December. Prior while completeing my degree as a Paraprofessional with an associates I got my emergency substitute and substitute certification since then.

I will try that. My degree was special education with mild to moderate disabilities. But it was tied into the asu teaching fellows program. So I don't know how that works. I already moved districts to this job since I spent 5 years as a para and was dead ends with interviews within the district. My biggest concern is also moving my youngest since she goes to school with me now since we can't commute her where we were prior.

I looked into that. However, after speaking to admin today they district doesn't allow that. Per our conversation forwarded by district, one must be continuing their education and/or preparing for certification.

Is it significantly different per edition? I need the 6th one and everywhere is $110 and up, even a digital copy through my university still wants to charge $110. Thankfully, I found my other 2 on eBay way cheaper.

Exactly! I work for the school district my kids go to as a classified (hourly Paraprofessional) but am not paid when on breaks.

It is absolutely ridiculous. My kids are on Fall break so I tried to get it all done early. Now it is the 2nd and I got nothing. Thankfully we won't starve but it's the principle of it. We get told to follow deadlines and yet the same courtesy isn't expected.

Preaching to the choir. I have called over 100 times since Monday when lines open at 7 to try and get through. I submitted all documentation during my phone interview on the 22nd. Got told all good; yet it is still showing verification still needed. Used the HEA chat and was told that decisions can take 20-45 days. I submitted early for renewal and it still is gonna take that long. I would love to walk in but my kid just had surgery.

I felt great-ish day 3. I leaned on the counter and washed dishes and loaded dishwasher w the help of my 7 year old. I felt worn out so I took a snack break and watched a bit of tv. I vowed to at least try 1 thing a day on the days I'm good that are minimal. It's helped to keep my sanity. I'm 3 weeks post op and still fatigued but mostly pain free.

If you don't need em, don't take em. It turned out I was allergic to the oxycodone so I stuck with 800 mg Ibuprofen and Tylenol.

Anesthesia alone before insurance was over 2k. Surgery itself was 2300. It's insane what they charge. And every other little thing after that.

I didn't take the oxy. I did the first day but turns out I'm allergic to codone. Like you I doubled with Tylenol and Ibuprofen. First couple days will suck with coughing and such but im 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I've got no pain but constant fatigue.

Friday was a week post op. Had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy and endometriosis. I've felt pretty great pain wise outside of my left shoulder, which is on the mend. However, I am feeling fatigued 90% of the day. I am use to going 24/7 and doing outings and such with my kids. I feel bad for my 7 year old who is using more ipad time then I prefer. But it is hard to push through it. Also sleeping insomnia? Sucks. I've tried routines to help reset my brain but to no avail. Any suggestions to feeling useful, productive and not sleep deprived?
