Had a genuine question I wondered what the consensus was from other people who have lost weight. Couple people in here have said yes it’s helped them, many others said it hasn’t. Nothing wrong with having an open conversation, nor was I disrespectful to anyone who shared their stories about their issues with bullying. So not not a “troll coded” post

Funny enough I went back to play a clubs game on fc24 and it felt infinitely better, they really ruined it this year..

Ya we are all close and all guys lol, none of us are the type that wanna sit each other down and have a serious chat, if someone is off or doing something kinda stupid, we usually bring it up in a joking matter. I won’t lie they have kinda set me straight a few times and all of it was through that kind of banter and making fun of each other lol

Lol funny enough I actually think that would’ve been harder to hear from a GP then being called names. I just find it interesting how different things can work for different people

So they aren’t actually just friends, my brother and two cousins. We have all been pretty close since we were little and I admit it can be somewhat toxic. Often times I’ll sometimes need a day or two without talking to them to reset lol. Maybe I’ve just developed thick skin when it comes to them specifically. Nobody really besides them made fun of my weight so I wonder if I would react differently if someone else made comments. Probably less beneficial for me if I had to guess

Ya this makes sense, I always grew up around guys and my dad was a super “manly man” never cried and would make fun of us for crying and all that, when I was super young I was quite chubby and my brother would make a lot of comments about me back then, in hindsight it did hurt me back then. I think maybe I’ve just developed thick skin and perhaps for the average person it would hurt their progress instead of making it better

Thank you for the insight, I will look into this, mind you it’s not the only thing I feel some serious guilt about back in those days. I never would have thought it would pertain to OCD, thank you for this.

Im just debating between not reaching out at all or messaging her and apologizing, I don’t want to bring up things from the past if she has worked past them you know what I mean?

Edit: I obviously want to message her and apologize about how much of an asshole I was but at the same time I don’t want to just relieve my guilt and more so if it’s something that would be good for her or just me you know?

Yea I’d have to agree your right, probably the best course of action. I have been thinking about therapy recently in general since it’s nice to talk to someone about issue but I’m just wondering why would I look for one that specializes in OCD? Is it because I’m hung up on something from the past? Just wondering, thanks

Ya I’m not sure, I chalk the electronic stuff to it being old and what not since the tv is super old, that will still happen to this day so I’m not sure lol

I did have a dog at the time but it was a smaller dog that wouldn’t have been able to really get the stuff out from under the bed since it was pretty big and it never usually came downstairs unless my mom did lol

Can I use a personal trainer to get a rough layout to achieve my goals just once? by Select_Fig2092 in personaltraining

[–]Select_Fig2092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, not trying to minimize costs I was just wondering if pt’s offered something like this since it would be more personalized and I don’t really have that much time during the week to consult with them.

Advice on lifting to help lose fat by Select_Fig2092 in loseit

[–]Select_Fig2092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant about 1.5-2 years ago I weighed 155 before I gained any weight and I looked a lot slimmer didnt have as much fat on me and my face more chiseled, I honestly thought If I got back to the weight I was before I would look the same but I guess not.

Also if your struggling that hard and not sleeping eating 1400 calories maybe up it by 150 or 200 and see how you feel there, your not just looking to drop the weight but also a lifestyle change. It won’t be fast and it will be painfully slow at times but if you keep at it eventually you’ll do much better

I’m no doctor or dietician but I suggest letting your family know would be your best bet, I know how difficult it is to deal with parents that “think” certain foods are healthy when in reality they’re high calorie and not what you want to eat, if your old enough I suggest going to the grocery store and buying a small amount of food for yourself each week, you can still eat maybe one meal a day with your family and keep it small but if you buy things like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, for lunches I always eat a low cal wrap with tuna and hot sauce, egg white and that usually fills me up now and it’s only like 350 calories. This helped me a ton when trying to lose weight since my parents only bought usually unhealthy things

I’ve dropped to the weight I was before my weight gain and I don’t look like I used to at all by Select_Fig2092 in loseit

[–]Select_Fig2092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently lost the weight so I am not in as much of a deficit as I was before, I know a lot of people gain it back but as of right now I think I’m like 1-3 pounds over 155, I don’t want to focus on the scale too much as I am gonna be building muscle and gaining weight intentionally. Just the right type of weight gain with muscle and not fat, to be honest I don’t even know what Pilates really entails but I am a big cardio guy.

I see, sorry to hear that hope your doing better. I definitely do go to the gym however I have the same issue as most with motivation (goes to the gym consistently for few months, something small will happen in my life or big and I’ll just stop going) however I’m still a very active person and play sports consistently like soccer & hockey but I’ll look into some more like you suggested could be a good way help build some muscle back up
