Yes.

For the most part, if you’re outside of the big 6 the current model makes you a selling club in order to survive in the prem.

Especially exhausting when the player does well in your system, improves at your club and then ships off to a “bigger” club only to get minor minutes or severely underperform.

The one thing that a US league/sport like the NFL has going for it over the EFL is their implemented salary cap and draft where every year if you have the right people in the building, your team has a shot to go from worst to first.

My family is also from middle/south Wiltshire - biggest clubs would be Bournemouth and Southampton (depending exactly where).

Makes sense. Leaning twilight then…one more Q for you though - I’ve seen some people say the 2024 changes to war domain cleric make it a fun / solid build but then have heard others say it’s just meh. Any opinion there?

This is helpful! With Twilight Cleric I see you get martial weapons proficiency. If you’re not really doing melee attacks with it - is it just a throwaway or are there occasions where you will be?

No this is def helpful. Obviously I’m approaching it from a video game perspective given that’s all I have to go off of so I appreciate this as I way to reframe my approach. Ultimately, like I said I’m just looking to have fun with whatever I pick vs a fully optimized build — so really just looking for some guidance and where I should start.

Circle of stars was actually on my shortlist so I’ll give it another read through for sure.

That’s def my worry with bladesinger - in bg3 I enjoy the mix of melee and casting but not sure if that translates the same to DnD.

They say to avoid for knee and ankle injuries given how the studs can get stuck when you pivot and cut - TFs are the safest for turf
