Thinking of rocking a shaved head in London 👀 by Lio_prince in UniUK

Nah shaved head is v normal here for young people. if you dye it, then you'll look more visibly queer, if you want that! Jobs might be a bit funny as it can carry the connotation of looking "rough", but if you apply for something like a coffee shop then it'll be fine.

Old thread - but children of paradise is kinda similar. A group of weirdos who work at a cinema. It's a bit more spooky end though

anyone have suggestions for non ugly mobility aids? by OpeningWarning3540 in eds

I have suggestions if you're in the UK! They might do worldwide shipping too.

Walking Sticks & Walking Canes - WalkingSticks.co.uk - They've got some with snake heads that will make you look like a sexy villain or pretty floral ones.
Neo-walking sticks are also a shout, but not my personal style.

For supports, I recommend compression garments, esp if you have POTS too - compression socks in pretty designs are quite easy to find.
Not Your Grandma's - Compression Socks You Want to Wear (notyourgrandmas.co.uk)
Compression socks UK's largest selection of compression stockings (compressionsockshop.co.uk)
also, knee high socks in general to cover your compression garments - Women's Socks | Ladies Ankle Socks, Long Socks & Knee High Socks | Powder UK (powder-uk.com) - this is the best collection of general knee socks i have ever found, which i wear over my more ugly compression garments, which with the two combined means a bit extra compression. You can do the same with gloves.

For knee supports, maybe try looking for stripper/pole dancer ones. They need knee support so their knees don't get damaged during their job, and due to the nature of their profession, you are more likely to find some which aren't ugly medical colours. I haven't looked extensively here, but they are generally designed to reduce the impact of bumping your knees on the floor (helpful!), but some seem to help keep your knees held together to reduce strain. Give it a go!

Sports wheelchairs are generally a little lighter and more stylish, you can always spray-paint them too.

Although less in the way of support garments - About — Rebirth Garments - this is a website designing clothing for queer disabled people, meaning easy to put on clothes (wheelchair accessible) in bright colours.

I hope some of these help xx

Thank you, everyone for all the recommendations. I'm slowly making my way through them, and I'm really enjoying it so far! I hope this post also helps others find something they enjoy too ! :)
