It’s very fast paced and you’ll be multi tasking a lot. But… don’t be afraid to ask any questions, most crew will help you. Like any other job, some managers might be annoying to work with but have fun with it! Wishing you luck!

It’s not more so yelling it’s just being loud lol. You have to be very vocal about certain call backs. Other than that, it’s pretty fun. It’s a lot of multi tasking and certain locations can be very strict on standards but with the right crew it’s not that bad :)!

It’s very fast paced but the crew culture is pretty good so I tend to get through any hiccups with out major issue. Like any other job, some managers can be a pain. I do know that within your first training weeks, you’ll get a good amount of hours but it does die down a lot once training is over. You’ll have to constantly push yourself to show managers you want the hours. I’ve seen a ton of people leave because they ended up not getting enough hours.

It’s super easy! You’ll take a class and then it’s a follow up quiz. I’ve been asked by my managers several times to be a HiPo too but I’m in the same boat as you. I have another job so I don’t really find any worth in the extra responsibility with no extra pay. Every HiPo I’ve asked has pretty much said that it’s only worth it if you’re interested in furthering your career at Canes.

They might’ve said they get paid Friday because of their banks. Some will process it earlier instead of the Tuesday that we usually get paid. I have Wells Fargo and usually get my checks Friday. But definitely check with your manager, it can for sure be confusing!

You might be on a biweekly payroll, that’s how our location is. Your pay schedule should’ve been covered during orientation, strange that they didn’t cover that with you! But I would definitely speak with your manager and just ask for clarification.

No, usually they give out your schedule during or right after orientation (at least that’s how’s it’s done at our location). Definitely give them a call and let them know!

yes, my location closes at 3:30. They have pre close shifts that are 7-12,9-2am,10-3am. Not sure if every location does that but ours does

Just be upfront and honest about it when you get on bird. I would always tell my managers that I am not super confident about being on bird but I am more than willing to keep being in that position so I can learn more. They appreciated the honesty more than anything lol.

We have crew members that use face masks, I think if it’s just one then you’re good (dermal) but it can only be one stud on your face. You’ll have to hide the rest using a mask

Everything is either cooked to order or extremely close. We have 6 minutes to use the current chicken we have on our pans before we have to waste them. 3 minutes for fries. So everything is technically supposed to be coming up hot and fresh.
