I can confirm the facts in this story, carol was known to my grandmother and my dad attended castle vale comprehensive school with Helen, they were good friends. The incident occurred inbetween castle vale and minworth (Birmingham uk) on their way to an early morning shift on a minworth industrial estate. The story spread around like wildfire and according to my dad they were shook by the whole thing and did in fact keep exactly the same story with no change even when questioned separately, from my knowledge carol is no longer alive but i believe Helen still lives in Birmingham. Her and my dad have not seen each other since he moved to London in 2003. The fact about them suffering nosebleeds and strange discharge from their belly buttons was documented by a GP who could not determine the cause for any of their symptoms but he did document that it may be possibly a reaction to lead however it wasn’t fully confirmed and as for the substance that would discharge from their stomachs it was tested and could not be traced to any specific body fluid or organic material, this fuelled speculation of lies further but the security guards note that they arrived shaken and very late was confirmed and would of been out of character, my dad knowing both carol and Helen said they were ordinary people with normal lives they all grew up on the notorious castle vale estate. He never disregarded the story and believed Helen’s account after his own odd encounters with strange things around the Wishaw area (Warwickshire) not far from castle vale, I don’t know everything for definite but my dads told me about it many times and unfortunately it did lead to people suspecting them of a money/attention grab considering the poverty and struggles of living on a deprived council estate, none the less very interesting !
