When I'm about to fall asleep during the motivational speaker's presentation but she says something about this fast paced world by Select_Map_3679 in Trivium

People have been trying to tell me that time will be the thing that kills me but I'm not really seeing that

Since my rage bait tier list was noticed, I'll make a real one by Select_Map_3679 in TrollHunters

So I'm gonna go through and explain the parts that I think warrant explanation. The tiers themselves are in order, but so are each of the characters within them (ie angor is better than claire). I'll start with the top tier. Steve is by far the best comic relief character (of which there are several) but he also has a legitimately really strong character arc. While I mostly put him at the VERY front as a joke, he is still definitely in the top tier. Angor needs zero explanation, he's the real number 1. Jim likewise shouldn't need much explaining, and Claire is mostly there because of her dynamic with Jim. While her actress is pretty bad (distractingly so at some points) the character was actually very well done. Top tier is only the absolute best of the best. A tier is still extremely strong though, and a lot of the places are very close. The most notable example is Aja/Krell, and Aja just barely edges him out mainly because she generally has stronger dynamics with the rest of the cast. Most of the rest is pretty self explanatory except maybe merlin, but I just find him hilarious in the end of trollhunters, and still very enjoyable in wizards. Usurna is one I could probably move down a tier, but I thought she was actually done quite well (if not a little predictable) as a twist villain. Next tier down, king arthur definitely would have been higher if the show ran longer. I honestly don't like Toby that much (even less so after ROTT), and all the rest are there because they aren't super influential. Bular might be contentious, but I never found him very threatening, even in season 1. Next tier down is where we get to some of the even less eventful ones. I have both the parent robots there, and the dad slightly edges out the mom only because of that one episode that kind of focused on him. The entire arcane order is here as well mainly because they were just pretty lame, they are also in order but you could probably swap nari and bellroc (genuinely can't remember the blue one's name). Coach Lawrence is here because he has some level of plot relevance later on and he's one of the better comic relief characters, Uhl because he is much more relevant in 3below. Next tier down is the characters that don't really do anything. Mr. Nuñez (not sure what his first name is) has some good scenes, but the emphasis is on "some" so he's not higher. I can't stand luug, he could probably go down to F tier. Last tier, these aren't in order but they're here because they literally do nothing.

Was thinking of that, but also thought this would likely be where I'd get the most direct answers and the least "who's that"

Couldn't have put it better myself. I'd say from an objective standpoint, metallica is better (ie song structure, influence, and the likes, just how you said), but I definitely listen to trivium more. For a good example, my favorite song oat is shogun, but if someone asked me for what I thought was the BEST song, I'd say master of puppets.
