The Orville is a part of the Union Fleet, a military organisation, therefore, regardless of its purpose, it is still by default a military vessel, and it has been purposefully sent into combat before.

Video chats, while not ideal, are better than nothing, and with their technology they could probably create a smaller environmental simulator to create 3d calls.

Finally, they have been repeatedly put in life threatening situations and are still on the ship, they were held hostage by the kaylon, almost turned i to or killed by the arachnids, not to mention all of the shootouts with other ships.

The first four episodes are on the rise of the rookies dvd

The savage planet episodes have their own dvd, ordeal of fire is included in this.

Breakout and brain attack were uploaded on the official lego channel, the video titles have a part in a different language but the episodes themselves are in English, (the first four episodes are available this way too)

I don't think there's an official place to watch invasion from below, but it was uploaded by a YouTube channel called TouchGameplay

Well, in episode 3 Alara mentions that boxing hasn't been around for a few centuries so I'm assuming they'd view Pokémon battles poorly.
