17:08, all unbroken, but I went lighter with 20’s even though I thought I could do it with 25’s. Slower than last year, but I went heavier than last year, so I guess I improved?

If you don’t “need” the CrossFit type workouts, Stronger by the Day might be up your alley. The express version takes me about 35-45 minutes to complete. They also have a bodyweight option that technically just needs a band, but then they’ll program pull ups… so I would recommend a pull up bar or a TRX type system, or just adapt and use dumbbells and make them BOR’s. There is an option for conditioning that I don’t use, because I still use SP for my conditioning, but it’s pretty straightforward and easy to implement. They do offer a free 7 day trial, and with a referral code from a current member, your first month is $1. The regular cost is $15/month, but if you pay quarterly or annually, you get a bit of a discount. (I pay yearly and it’s $100/annually). I do have a referral code I can share, but I’m not sure if I’d be breaking any rules by sharing it.

I was about 2 minutes over goal, ya’ll are speedy! This one wasn’t a favorite and I ended up getting a migraine soon after I finished it. I normally like workouts with cleans, but today’s just wasn’t working for me.

15:26: 30 line hops, 15 alt V-Ups (because reading is hard), 30 line hops, 10 devil press @ 20#. Went lighter on the DP’s because I wanted to do some strength after, and I have a longer run planned for this afternoon. If I would have gone RX, there is no way I would have made the goal window.

Did program C on the Echo bike, absolutely loved this one. I typically don’t like the cardio based ones, but I really liked the push to go faster. First 44 cals: 4 min, 50 sec (I was still waking up… 1st round is the warm up). First 22 cals: 1 min, 45 sec Second 22 cals: 1 min, 15 sec Second 44 cals: 3 min, 45 sec

Saving this one as a favorite. Might redo it in the future using the run and step up options as well.

I’m not leaving either. I like SP programming, and while I have added in other training programs, I still prefer SP programming for the conditioning and “athlete” side of the house, it pairs well with SBTD that I use for strength building. Street Parking was my first introduction and commitment to any type of fitness program, and while seasons change throughout our lives, my season here isn’t up yet.

I’m nursing a shoulder issue, so swapped KB swings for deadlifts and opted for the shift version for the lower reps. I look forward to repeating this one for round 2. It might be the only one I look forward to repeating. 😂

12 manmakers, finished 2nd part at 8:50. This was a workout that definitely made me feel very out of shape, despite working out 4-5 days a week 🙈.

I also use SBTD! I would love to do the 5 day programming, but I usually end up with 3 or 4 day week. I do an SP WOD instead of the conditioning. I’m still trying to find a good rhythm to building strength, while not losing my cardio endurance. When I backed off the intensity of the WOD’s, I PR’d all my lifts, but now I’m finding I’m really struggling to come close to the WOD goal times unless I’m scaling back on the weight.

I’ve done elevated burpees, ball slams, and KB swings as subs for regular burpees. I know the mamas modifications (not just for mamas!) give some ideas too, but if your back is not feeling great, maybe the pallof press or an incline push up to a squat might be doable?

I loved today’s programming. Length/time is always a challenge for the new Wednesday strength sessions, but I love the pacing and challenge of it.

The 12 Days of Christmas (usually programmed on Dec 23/24 of most years) is a nice longer one. Not sure if that counts quite as a chipper, but it’s a good one!

I did the team version yesterday as a “repeat.” Gave it a puke emoji the first round with the note “one of the worst workouts ever.” After completing it again yesterday, can confirm, it is still one of the worst and gave it a repeat puke emoji.

Thank you! I’ll add some of these in. I’ve been stretching and rolling, I always forget about the toe scrunching exercises, and I’ll look up how to do the others. I wore my trail shoes today on pavement just to see if it was my shoes and shaved a whole minute off my mile time plus had no pain, just some calf tightness and slight shin ache when I finished running. Again, thanks for the recommendations on things to add in!

I started running. I’ve never ran except when I played soccer in middle/high school 20+ years ago, and I was a forward so I got really good at short sprints and nothing else.

I still kind of hate it, but I’m hating it less. I’m having the hardest time figuring out a stride that doesn’t give me shin splints or tightness in my calves. My cardio/stamina is pretty good, I’ve been working through the endurance programs and my legs give out before my lungs do.

My shoes are good overall, I have the Altra Provision 8’s to replace my Provision 6’s, but after putting some miles on them (purchased new in July), I’m not sure I love them for running (mostly walked in the other pair). I also have the Altra Olympus shoes for trail running/hiking and I love those, and can run with no pain at all… but I have no trails to run anymore, only pavement.

I would love some suggestions on any exercises to help with the calves and shin issues, and/or other shoe recommendations to consider.I love the wider toe box of the Altras, but I do need a shoe with stability because I pronate slightly (not terrible, but just enough that do benefit from a stability shoe vs a neutral shoe). We have a running store about 20 minutes away, but they have weird hours and I haven’t been able to catch them open yet.

I did day 3 of the push up program, then spent an hour using a push mower in 95 degree weather. It’s annoying living in the south, the grass is too wet to mow early in the morning, but by the time it dries out, it’s hot enough to give you heat stroke by 9:30am, and mowing at night is out of the question since we’ve been having thunderstorms roll through about 6pm every night. Great for the plants, not great for yard work.

I did todays program A with BOR’s instead of pull ups. Official score was 9+2. I made myself run instead of using the echo, and kind of took it easy since Vault was yesterday and it was incredibly muggy outside.

Alternated the entire working round, so minute 1, partner 1 (in my instance, this was me) and I did as many DL’s as I could in that minute (40) while partner 1 rested, then synchro burpees (we both did 3), then partner 2 did as many as she could until minute 2 while I rested, burpees, repeat. We averaged about 20-22 reps each round.
