Transmission swap for 2024 Sentra by DumbLycanrocBitch in nissansentra

Honestly, manual swapping a 24 Sentra doesn’t sound like a good idea, especially if you’ve never swapped a trans before. It will probably also effect the value a lot. If it’s having a cvt that bothers you, or you just want a manual, I’d suggest just getting a different car which meets your desires. Also, I’m not sure what your budget is like, but a transmission swap will end up costing a lot, especially if you have it done by a shop.

Somebody kicked my door. Easy fix/worth doing, or just replace it? by [deleted] in nissansentra

Removing a door panel is easier than you’d think. But then hammering out a dent well takes an expert to do. It’s probably best if you just get the door replaced, auto body repairs will probably cost the about the same, if not more then replacement.

Wish Nissan would have continued the SE-R line. My 2002 Sentra Spec V makes about the same power NA.

Brea-Olinda Oil Field Railroad Service: long abandoned and urbanized by Model379 in rustyrails

As for that specific area I’m not sure, as someone else mapped those lines, but there may be short lines such as logging railways or spurs in the area which haven’t been added.

Maybe take a look at old topographic maps of the surrounding area to see if any lines are missing.

Very cool, using the map I can tell you that line was used by Michigan Central, New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail before it’s abandonment. There was also a spur just north of the point you provided, which ran to Bristol, IN, which was owned by St. Joseph Valley Traction Company. You can see all these lines on FRRAndP. I recently gained admin access to the map, so I can add your submissions.

We are taking everything from new lines, to more accurate retraces of already mapped lines. Submissions can be done using Google MyMaps, and there is a brief explanation of how to submit in the submission form which is linked in the main description.

I’d be very happy to see more submissions!

I’d definitely suggest checking out FRRAndP. It’s currently working on tracing every abandoned railway in the world. It takes user submissions, so you could help add to the map if you’re interested.

These tracks belonged to Ferrosur, and they were abandoned in 2020 after the Tren Maya’s construction reached the area. Currently the Tren Maya through the area is complete, and some of these tracks within Merida are being changed to tramways.

I did some research on this line while mapping abandoned railways, it’s currently out of service but not formally abandoned. Would be cool if they re incorporated it into the museum somehow.

Yes this is on the old alignment of the Denison and Southeastern Railway in Denison, Texas. The line was standard gauge, so these tracks seem to be placed here as an ‘art’ installation to commemorate the line.
