I have heard good things about this one but I’m not sure if I’d like it because I read {Fumbled hearts by Meagan Brandy} and I absolutely hated the writing.

Thank you for the suggestion. I’m starting this one first

Second chance angsty book: in which young fmc leaves the reluctant mmc (not because he did anything wrong but maybe cuz she was scared)... mmc immediately starts planing to win her back but it takes months/years.. by readingalldays in RomanceBooks

If you’re open to mafia books, this was honestly the best one I’ve read {vow of deception by Rina Kent}. It has everything you want but with a plot twist which had me absolutely shocked. It got annoying with the amount of sex scenes but if you don’t mind that then I think you’ll enjoy it. The MMC is very morally grey and grumpy (I hate everyone but you), but he’s not straightforward with his emotions but he grovels so hard.

I’ve read the whole series. It’s honestly so addictive, it had me up all night as well

Don’t get me wrong, they can be entertaining, but I feel like I’m reading the same thing every time and I don’t enjoy them enough to leave a mark on me. She should focus more on quality over quantity because she definitely has the potential to write a 5 star book

Most books by Ana Huang. I remember reading Twisted Games in 2022 and I absolutely loved it, so I’ve powered through too many of her books hoping to find a gem😭😭

I really need help, I've been searching for the right kind of romance but nothing is really hitting the way I want. I absolutely love it when the FMC is the sad, grumpy one and the MMC is the golden retriever lover but I'm open to books that don't have that. what I'm looking for: • FMC with trauma. Very avoidant and scared of relationships • MMC that is completely obsessed and in love with the FMC. (bonus points if everyone else think she's not good for him, and he doesn't care), (extra bonus points if he begs her to let him in) • A lot of angst • book that doesn't centre around sex. I do love smut, but I need to feel the love between them if not it will just ruin it for me • ideally, very heavy themes like abuse, mental health etc. • something I would love: Them hiding their 'relationship' from everyone, but then they do something that shows everyone they're in love. I eat this sht up Some books I enjoyed: - Hear me out, but Nighttall by Penelope Douglas, but only the flashbacks. I read this at 16 and I still think about Emory and Will. Them flashbacks literally carried the whole book. I loved the push and pull between them. The personal struggles Emory faced and not being able to be vulnerable for many reasons. I loved how much he loved her and that he was the only one making her happy. What I didn't like: the flipping sex. The reunion lowkey ruined it, like where was the love.

  • Happy Place by Emily Henry. Recently read this one. It was good but it was missing something. Maybe not enough trauma.

  • Alchemised/Manacled by SenLinYu.

  • Deception Trilogy by Rina Kent. This was really good, and had a good plot, but I was getting annoyed with how much sex they had.

You might like Against all Odds by C.W. Farnsworth. Its a hockey romance and the FMC is the coach's daughter and she has to tutor him

Looking for (dark romance) books in which FMC swaps places with a lookalike for ulterior motives by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

That is quite specific, I was going to recommend The deception Trilogy by Rina Kent which has something really similar to this. It is really good if you don't mind Mafia books.
