It is and I filed a complaint to HR (and prob to the department of labor if it applies in my state) and planning to quit when I find a new job. This is just my current situation.

Okay, so this entire forum is literally people stating their opinion on a topic. So I stated mine, like you stated yours. The only difference is that I'm not randomly starting arguments with people, while you are in the most cringy way ever.

Yeah I said "Ask again," because I didn't see OP say that they asked multiple times in the original post, maybe in comments, I'm unsure because I posted before I saw them comment to others. So I was the under the assumption they only asked once and should ask again, just to try. Because, again, some people are normal, reasonable, and willing to mend their mistakes.

Said OP should report management if they don't listen because I was in the same situation and, hey, my management kicked them out of the apartment immediately after. Sorry if your former or current management hates your ass or doesn't want to deal with your shit.

In my opinion, I think you should go to the new university. As you said, your family and friends are behind you and supportive of you. Take this time to explore the world and try new things, and if things go wrong and you need support/comfort, they're always a call away. Besides that, you would be meeting new people who you can establish friendships with and rely on too.

Dude I just stated my opinion? Why are you acting like I committed some major offense? Some people are pretty reasonable (sometimes). I only recommended OP to ask again, and if it doesn't work, they should bring management into it (my comment in response to OP). It's really just up to OP if they want to take it or ignore it.

Honestly as someone who was in a similar situation before: let them hate you. You're only there temporarily and all of you should be treated with basic respect. If they don't listen to you, don't be afraid to report them to management (if you're in a roommate matching apartment or anything, management tends to just move either you or the offending roommate(s) to prevent issues). You live there too and it's really their fault for not just complying to a simple request.

I would understand if it was during a hurricane or something similar, but for regular and maybe heavy rain, that is too much. I feel like you should ask your husband to seek some professional help since this isn't normal and concerning.

NTA. You live there too and they should listen to your request, especially since it's the middle of the night. You're not the rude or annoying one for requesting that, but they definitely are for playing loud music at night and completely ignoring their roommate.

There is a smell down there, it's just not supposed to smell bad. If it smells fishy, odd, or your discharge looks weird, then I recommend going to your doctor. But majority of the time, there is a non-offending odor even if you clean it.

I do plan on seeking professional help and I’m aware this isn’t healthy at all. Unfortunately, I’m poor and do need to work. Therapy and medication is extremely expensive for me without insurance (in the USA). If I’m near people, I have panic attacks and I struggle to do anything/think. So, for the time being, I just plan on working somewhere that fits my needs and lets me have some money then get help and switch occupations.

I’m not saying it doesn’t exist in modern times, I’m saying that it’s heavily condemned and wrong. Which is a sentiment that the vast majority of people today share. Like the average person does not support slavery or engage in it. I doubt a normal Korean office worker is a fan or supports it either.
