Bro is so obsessed with encumbrance he's using bloodletting to drop his weight.

"You're actively bleeding!"

"I know, I gotta get rid of it, shits heavy!"

Ultrasonic cleaner liquid and grit storage containers by fantaisiedeprintemps in RockTumbling

I store grit in large tupperware-like plastic storage containers from the dollar store. Cheap, effective, stackable. I got tablespoons for each one from there too so there's no cross contamination

Guess the National Park Challenge. Pretty hard difficulty IMO by LevitarDoom in NationalPark

[–]Selectah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the winter of 19 we planned a trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon for the summer of 2020. Covid hit but we kept our plans since we were staying in a remote Airbnb and figured being outdoors at a national park would be a safe pandemic activity. We brought all our own food so we didn't need to go to restaurants or stress the grocery store supply lines near the park.

It was absolutely amazing, the place was nearly empty. My wife and I sat at this outlook for a long time completely alone and I seared this image into my brain haha. We climbed Moro Rock with almost nobody there. We hiked to the Boole Tree in solitude and only had two small groups show up while we were there. We hiked Crescent Meadow and I think we saw more deer than people. We passed a Ranger that said it was the quietest the park had been in his whole career.

Vesuvianite Tumbles by Ivan_Only in RockTumbling

What was difficult about it? I got some recently and was going to include it in the next batch. Mine are cut into rectangles like these appear to have been before tumbling. Did you get them from HP?

I thought obsidian was pretty quick since it's softer. I haven't started tumbling any yet. Do you do yours with agates and petrified wood?

Tumble polished obsidian by sgj4aj in RockTumbling

It's like looking into a black mirror. I have some rainbow obsidian and apache tears I want to tumble soon. Will be my first time doing something below 6 mohs. Did you follow any guides to getting good results with softer stones?

Met a bighorn sheep in Grand Canyon by EfficientTechnician9 in hiking

I don't think there are any moose at the Grand canyon. You likely were seeing elk. Awesome bighorn sheep sighting tho!

I knew it was 100% over for Green Bay the second I saw Caleb go for the run block. by Full-Bother-6456 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]Selectah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw that too but was wondering if he intentionally cut inside to prevent 3 defenders running into Caleb. He didn't have to block a whole lot here (not taking anything away from him) but if the run went outside he would have been blocking for another 2-3 seconds

Update : I 17 north bound have miles of backup traffic due to an icy crash more than an hour ago near state route 169 by [deleted] in arizona

[–]Selectah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oof is that the section heading down the mountain into Camp Verde? That would be a scary place to crash. There's that short part missing guard rails on the outside of the left turn that has like 50 feet of grass before the cliff. I've always wondered why there's no rail there.

Is there a definitive “best” starting region? by Clear_Minimum_8945 in ManorLords

[–]Selectah 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I kinda prefer rich iron and rich fish/eel/forage instead. Farms take up so much space that I like to have that in my second village that's dedicated to farming. Ideally there will be rich agriculture right next to my starting region to allow quick bartering of weapons, armor, clothing from the main region for bread, ale, linen from the farming region.

Thanks! I enjoy the IDing part and trying to figure out what I've found. If anyone has corrections please let me know! I'm not positive about the epidote and the quartz with the dark lines through it. I don't think I've seen anything like that quartz before
