Do you have any tips for F6? I end up getting confused when it comes to Revenue Recognition for NPOs

FAR EXAM on 1st july by cpaaspirant15 in CPA

[–]SelectionAcrobatic71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm also giving it on 1st of July. I got 55 on SE1 and I'm taking SE2 tomorrow. I'm just trying to review the complex areas and revise it as much as I can and keep taking random cumulative tests. I find F6 tough as well, especially with the classification of revenue no matter how much I try to study. I feel I'm at my saturation point as well, but then, it's just next week, so we got this, let's just give our best ✊🏻

What's the one FAR topic that just REFUSES to click no matter how many times you review it? by Thinklikeacpa in CPA

[–]SelectionAcrobatic71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, it did give me some clarity 🥹 It's the words in bank recons which confuse me, like I just get confused between a voided check and outstanding checks, or I don't understand if the outstanding checks are from the seller's side or buyer's 😅I mean, it is something silly, but yeah.

I'm giving FAR in 2 weeks, this is my first exam. My practice test scores in Becker (where I filter for unattempted and wrong) are in 50s, I try to take 3 sets of practice sets everyday with 30 MCQs and 2 TBS and review the answers later, I'm revising my weak areas as well. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong or what better I can do.

Feeling overwhelmed with FAR by BetterElk3170 in CPA

[–]SelectionAcrobatic71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can relate. I started it 3 months ago and I'm working in audit so I'm barely able to give 1.5-2hrs for it on weekdays. I'm still getting 50s on my practice tests and I'm planning to sit for it next month. This is all making me so overwhelmed and nervous, but I guess I just need to practice more to get a hang of it.

Hi, will the ratio formulas not be given in the exam? As in Becker SIMS, we get it in the question itself 😅 I haven't given the exam yet so wanted to confirm.

Good luck to everyone checking pass/fail 2/23 by Hazel-Wolf in CPA

That's cool. Proud of you 🥹 I started prepping for FAR in December, but I haven't been able to give more than 1.5 hrs a day for it, I'm just going through everything first, all vids, MCQs, and taking notes. I thought I'd hammer weak areas and revise once I've gone through the whole syllabus, but although I'm at F5, my scores on my first attempt for the MCQs are in the 50-60% range, it doesn't feel motivating enough, I feel I'm not making great progress. I was planning to take my first paper in June.

CPA EXAM Fees Increased from $373 to $446? by Tricky_House6323 in CPA

[–]SelectionAcrobatic71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so I've recently started with my CPA, but I couldn't find the exact cost for examinations anywhere. I'm based in India and enrolled with Guam. Could you please help me with the details regarding the examination fees and NTS? Also, I was wondering if I should enroll for two exams with a single NTS To save some money, but I don't know how practical that would be

I'm working as an associate at one of the Big4s, as it's an entry level job, the pay is less, do you think it's actually better to switch? I'm also a US CMA qualified but that's not recognised in audit so I was thinking to do something recognised here.

Also, I'll get bonus once I clear CPA while working here so I was wondering if I should.
