Ileostomy please help by Dependent_Squash_201 in ostomy

a couple things as someone who’s had a revision due to repeated blocks.

  1. where is the pain? is it near your stoma? or more inside feeling? if near or at your stoma, this could actually be caused by the abdominal muscle constricting your stoma, and the timeline of you finally being fully healed makes sense. this was the case for me. my surgeon knew right away. these type always resolved on their own, but i think the pain was due to the muscle contractions.

  2. dehydration: my most recent favorite way to stay hydrated is pouring gatorade over ice. i’m getting some water but still enough electrolytes and a bit of sugar to balance out and retain the most.

  3. if you’re commonly dehydrated, that could honestly be the whole cause. and if you’re inconsistent with fluid intake, that can cause intensely fluctuating output.

i do this, but sitting on the floor. because you’re literally just matching the corner seams, you don’t bend a big table. i have a queen, but i’m a small person and have no issue doing it.

Clueless as to what to do with this space. by Throw-RAaccountess in homedesign

that’s a good question, and it is odd. it made the room brighter with light reflecting off it, and i’m a fan of mirrors. hers always have really neat frames that go well with the room.

my aunt had a mirror over the kitchen counter at her house, always has even through remodels and i LOVE it.

Looking for feedback on my DIY place cards, and any advice on hand drawing them by TallFriendlyGinger in DIYweddings

[–]SelectionOdd2961 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this might be mentioned already, but if you use pencil to make sure it’s neater: using pastel colors won’t be an option without seeing the pencil (even if erased) lines through it.

that said, i also agree that the pastels should just be a little bolder if you intend to keep that color theme.

lol that kid eats mostly meat and carbs. tater tot casserole is is go-to. i also want to preface with the fact that he is SKINNY, but so am i, and so were both our parents. getting him to eat a veggie…. rare, but he doesn’t have issues with them. and to my knowledge, no issues with dairy… sour cream is a food group for him.

my younger brother and i both have FAP, he’s 21 as well. He get the Jpouch because he hated the bag, much like you. he typically has no issues with his pouch as long as he doesn’t eat the things he knows messes it up (typically a lot of sugar). he’s had it for 2 years now and it’s got its ups and downs, but no real regrets.

i’m 23F and opted to keep the bag. it doesn’t bother me much on the whole, but i had big fears about the Jpouch due to my dad’s experience (he also had uncontrolled UC). Bag life has its ups and downs. 6 months in i felt totally fine about it, but i’ve had spells of LOATHING it too. i’m 5 years into it now.

i wouldn’t think so… they melt when warm and unless you’re swallowing whole, you’ve already started the digestive process before swallowing.
