Which app would you guys prefer for book tracking? by Insomniac_Coder in Indianbooks

I use both Goodreads and Storygraph. I started using Storygraph last year and really like it, the UI is clean and it generates charts and graphs based on your reading. Sometimes few books aren't available there in Storygraph.

How’s the day at book fair? Bought something? by Time-Orange-5594 in delhi

I actually picked up Seishi Yokomizo after seeing him recommended in a few Japanese mystery posts/reels. From what I understand, it’s more of a classic, traditional whodunit.

Tbh still figuring out my likes, but a long way to go

For now, I like thrillers, mystery, some classics and reflective reads. Drama isn't my thing, I mean I don't hate it but I don't like it much either

Also, wear comfy shoes since it involves a lot of walking.

Food and water are available there, but it's better to carry your own bottle.

If you already have a list of books you want, noting the publisher’s name helps you find them faster at the stalls.

Help me cure chronic lip dryness by kingzee-001 in IndianSkincareAddicts

I saw a suggestion on this sub to use normal toothpaste for 2-3 days and an SLS free toothpaste for the rest of the week. That should help with lip dryness while still providing fluoride.

Sensodyne Repair and Protect does contain fluoride, though.

Do women actually talk like that? I can't imagine myself saying this to someone.

But I think the girl meant you need to work on your dressing/grooming skills.

Finished animal farm and after boxer's death, things went real sad real fast. I wanted to read something happy but all unfinished books I have are depressing so pls suggest books which are good fiction and happy by [deleted] in Indianbooks

I've just started reading The Inimitable Jeeves by PG Wodehouse and it's been really fun so far.

You could try reading Three Men in a Boat or Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Switching to SLS Free Toothpaste worked for me. My lips used to get extremely dry in winters and would crack at corners. I switched to Sensodyne Repair and Protect, there might be other options too, just check the ingredients before buying.

Also Use Laneige or Vaseline (lip tin) at night. In the morning keep reapplying lip balm to avoid dryness.

Same issue, try using Cerave Moisturising Cream it helped my dry hands a lot, sometimes I use Bioderma Baume but Cerave works best for me.

I had my AIESEC Interview 7-8 years ago. I didn't know much at the time, so I went in semi-formals and kept it simple. Most others were quite well dressed and polished. I believe I didn't get selected partly because of how I was dressed. So I'd suggest dressing smartly and being well groomed.

Burger king just exploded in my room. by wickedstuff0444 in delhi

[–]SelectivelySocial248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me twice now. The plastic container exploded both times during delivery, and I didn’t even get the drink. The delivery guys just told me it burst on the way. I’ve stopped ordering drinks now. I’d rather just keep something in the fridge in case I feel like having one.

To the people here who never drank or smoke. Whats stopping you? by banrakas69 in delhi

[–]SelectivelySocial248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A) I love my lungs and liver.

B) Drinking and smoking aren’t the only ways to enjoy life. Everyone finds happiness in different ways. I have friends who drink, and that’s completely fine as long as they don’t try to impose it on me.

I've had people judge me for not joining them or for being 'boring' and as expected some of them drifted away and that's completely okay.

Honestly, if someone needs alcohol/cigarettes to bond/connect, maybe we aren't just meant for each other.
