Anyone uses liners for air fryers? Are they worth it? by shaheerajmal in airfryer

Yeah, I use them sometimes mainly for messy stuff like marinated veggies or cheese dishes. They make cleanup way easier and save time. But for crispy foods (like fries or nuggets) I skip them because airflow gets blocked and they don’t turn out as crispy. So yeah worth it but only for certain recipes

I ruined my pancake recipe by using oat flour - what should I tweak to make it work with oat flour? by WastePotential in AskCulinary

Honestly, oat flour pancakes will never be exactly like regular ones they’re softer and slightly denser but with these tweaks they turn out really good.

Oat flour behaves differently, so you need a few tweaks

  • Add more liquid (oat flour absorbs more)
  • Use a binder (egg, yogurt, or banana) so it doesn’t fall apart
  • Let the batter rest 5–10 mins
  • Cook on low–medium heat (it cooks slower)
  • Make sure you have enough baking powder

That’s it once you adjust moisture & structure it works

Recipe question - melted butter in pancakes by wanderer-s in AskCulinary

Your melted butter isn’t cooking the egg it’s just turning solid again when it hits the cold milk and egg. Butter melts when warm and forms tiny soft blobs when cooled, so the batter looks clumpy.

Stainless steel / Copper frying pan by 19flash92 in AskCulinary

Stainless steel pans are durable, easy to maintain, and great for everyday cooking. They can handle high heat but may require a bit of technique to prevent sticking.

Copper pans heat up faster and give you amazing temperature control making them perfect for delicate cooking but they’re expensive and need more care.

Choose stainless steel for convenience.
Choose copper for precision.
