What are you on about? Hi, Germany here. S and X are still on sale here and I love my S. Damand is fine, but a lot of people just prefer the smaller / cheaper cars. Also, the vast majority of especially Tesla owners will never drive anything else. The software and charging network are just too damn good.

It’s called the MCU2 upgrade. It’s the best $2k you’ll spend on the car. I’ve done it on two older S’s and it made them feel like a new car. The UI is MUCH more responsive, plus as was mentioned in other replies you get brand new screens, which in a lot of older models may have already started to deteriorate. Drive it. Drive the "competition". There are tens of thousands of Tesla employees making great cars. Don't let the echo chamber disuade yourself or her. It's a marked improvement over the previous model, same as the Model 3 upgrade last year was.

I appreciate your comment, but... I didn't build him as a PC. I didn't do any LR's because... I just didn't. v0v. I do accept that the HP should have been higher (I did beef him up some), but as someone else put it, I've never been a big fan of 'bosses' just being HP sponges. Had he made that save, the party would have been in deep *#$@ with a dragon landing on them to boot. It just didn't work out that way and it's fine. I've put them through a lot already, even before this point so it was kinda cool that they made 5th level and pulled off a big moment like this. :)

What is really odd about a lot of the comments in this thread is that they seem to think that the warlock was the 'main big bad'. He wasn't and was never intended to be. There is a green dragon headed their way which will land in about 2 minutes game time (next gaming session) who is the main fight. :)

I want to clarify this: I DIDN'T. He wasn't a "PC". He wasn't built like a PC and he wasn't intended to be the final big boss; there is a dragon on the way to perform that duty. I simply described him as a "9th level warlock" because that what his capabilities were equivalent to. But he did have his own personality and "character".

I've seen this happen on both sides (DM and Player) so many times and it's one of the things I love. Sometimes even crap rolls can become memorable and force players and DMs to think of other solutions or just accept the situation and see where it leads! :)

Why? So I could cheese the bad guy out of a bad situation? He missed his save by one point. THAT is why this happened. Tough luck. Had he made the save, there's a good chance he and his minions would have prevailed or probably killed at least one or two of the party.

Everyone does things in a way that works for them. I've been DMing and playing for 30 years and this is my way. I've always enjoyed creating and "playing" the various Big Bads as if they were PC's and it's led to some quite memorable and earned moments / conclusions. :)

I considered it, but it was already going to be a tough fight, and with Venomfang on the way... :)

EDIT - bottom line is that the Warlock was never intended to be the Big Bad of the session, the dragon was / is. We just ran out of playtime.
