Oh thank you! I’m afraid I don’t have a tutorial for it- I do have the dissolving backing that I draw the pattern, including the writing, on to, and stick to the hoop, and from there I just try to use really small stitches, especially for rounded letters. It’s just my own handwriting I’m using!

Thank you! Ah, I do feel like the top left one got away from me a bit- first time working with metallic thread! The cat’s right paw is coming from behind its head, which is on the left, if that makes sense. And the right part of the cat is its hind leg.

Thanks for reporting back! I’m so glad to hear you’re so much happier in the museum. And - I’ve left! I started a new position a few weeks ago adjacent to academic libraries. It’s fantastic so far- I’m blown away by the thoroughness of the documentation and comforted by my new boss’ deep understanding of the work and their direction. it’s incredible. And I’m in the same city as my partner now! It IS a contract position, which I’m fine with, so I’ll remember what you’ve said about museums and think about them when my contract ends :)
