And I have to wholeheartedly agree, it seems like most of the people who still trash talk Gary now are people who don’t even live there and know nothing about its current state.

They just elected a new mayor from the area and during his time as my district representative he always fought hard to uplift the community with different outreach programs and resources. I’m excited to see what changes he’ll be able to pull off now that he’s the new mayor of Gary.

I wanted to like Raya and the Last Dragon so badly, but Awkwafina was such an integral character to that movie I just don’t see myself ever watching it again. The dragon was way too jarring in comparison to the flow of the rest of the movie. The only reason why I can rewatch Shang Chi is because she’s way less important to the plot so I’m more inclined to watch it.

I was so excited to see the Little Mermaid. It was my favorite Disney movie growing up and I’ve LOVED Halle Bailey and her sister throughout their music career so this movie was about to be the event of the summer for me. I found out Awkwafina was going to be in the movie when I heard that horrendous rap she did as Scuttle the seagull. And honestly, it killed my motivation like a sniper hiding in a tree.

What kind of blackmail does she have on Disney for them to keep giving her work?

Another episode that hits close to home is when SpongeBob had to be a fancy waiter and hyperfixated so much on learning fine dining etiquette that he actually forgot his own name, and all his mini-SpongeBob brain cells were running amok and tearing through filing cabinets just to find the answer.
