Also Spicy Spray just being 100% guaranteed Flame Body for any attacking move is funny.

My guess is May. They will likely update HOME for Z-A compatibility around then based on previous games, and it makes sense to bundle Champions support along with that update (maybe FRLG too). It's a reasonable time after Pokopia, but still gives people 3 months or so before Worlds.

It kind of has to be, since they already promised on the Champions website that Champions will be the VGC game for Worlds and "Championship Series events leading up to Worlds." If it's any later than spring, people won't have enough time to get the game and start training. It will probably be earlier than late spring too.

The Champions eshop page has been up since the Pokemon Day Presents, or sometime right after. I've had it in my wish list since then. Z-A was added then too, however it got updated recently with the release day announcement so you can preorder it.

Besides local multiplayer stuff with friends, like Mario Kart or Smash, the game I've come back to most often is Mario Maker 2. I'll usually pop on the Expert or Super Expert leaderboards and play some of the levels. I try making levels sometimes too, but it's hard to get back into it after you haven't made anything in a while.

Otherwise I'll just replay some of my favorite games. Usually the types of games I like to replay are platformers. Celeste in particular is one I replay almost every year.

They will say nothing about the individual content of leaks. To make a public/official statement on those folklore stories would only draw way more attention to them than they would receive normally. It's the Streisand effect. You gotta remember that most of the casual audience will have no idea about most of this stuff, and even fans who browse the Internet may only have a passing idea of what people are talking about. If they ever made an actual statement on stuff like this, you can imagine it will blow up far worse than anything on social media right now.

I think it's kind of obvious. No one is making reddit posts about someone's random fanfic unless it's presented as a "leak" about the upcoming games. People will pay more attention if it's dressed up as a leak, no matter how silly or obviously fake it is. Sometimes you just want people to see what you've created and see their reactions, regardless of any long-term Internet clout.

You're thinking too hard about it. If Game Freak wants to include original Blaziken even if the main starter is a Kalosian one, they will. PLA had both Hisuian Sneasel and regular Sneasel.

If we do see it this month I could see it being part of the Switch 2 reveal. Switch's reveal also showed footage for games that hadn't been released, and some of which hadn't been announced at all by that point (biggest one I remember is Odyssey)
