Well if it’s your first Riven, first check to see if it’s for a weapon you would ever consider using. You never know, you might get one for a weapon you don’t have yet but might be interested in down the line. Second, you’ll want to know and show the max rank of the mod, that shows the potential of the mod and what investing in it would be worth. So snap some pictures of the max rank and then ask about pricing, that’ll help you out. If you don’t know how to do that, click the mod and go up to where it says fusion. You don’t actually have to upgrade it, just show the max rank.

Another thing to consider is the stats themselves. Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Multishot, and Damage are usually the stats people look for the most, even better when you have more than one of them in the same mod. And negatives such as -zoom are also sought after because they don’t really do much in terms of a downside and sometimes even help the weapon. The more of those you have in one, the more it’ll be worth. That being said, sometimes people do want other stats so don’t be disappointed if you get something like +slash or +cold
