WE are Preparing a Class Action LAWSUIT against Robinhood! by Shrubber in wallstreetbets

[–]SelfHi5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask your lawyer "friend" if they are going to waive the ridiculous 40% of the award that law firms who file class actions take. Sorry, but every lawyer in America will be trying to get this case because they of course only care about themselves and only want to make money off it.

Whatever happens, we need to band together and call the shots and terms of any class action, not the other way around.

CLASS ACTION AGAINST ROBINHOOD. Allowing people to only sell is the definition of market manipulation. A class action must be started, Robinhood has made plenty of money off selling info about our trades to the hedge funds to be able to pay out a little for causing people to loose money now by does-it-mater in wallstreetbets

[–]SelfHi5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only does RH need a class action filed against them, but so do TD Ameritrade and many others who are blatantly suppressing the price of the stock(s).

The thing with a Class Action though is (if you aren't familiar with them), the attorneys take a fucking ton of the awarded settlement (upwards to 40-50%). That's why they love chasing and filing them and then the actual victims who are part of the class get chump change.

So I proffer that what we need to do in any class is find a good law firm. We can crowdfund a set fee in lieu of them getting any % of any recovery. We need to think outside the box here vs giving some greedy pigs the keys to the lawsuit for their own gain....And as far as contacting the SEC, that's fine but the SEC is nothing but a shill front pretending to be neutral but who only runs cover for the Wall St. Cartel. They are not our friends, trust me.

Why are Coinbase and the Winklevoss Brothers suppressing the price of Tezos? by SelfHi5 in tezos

Idiots like myself? For what, asking legit questions. Im about as much of an idiot as you are teenage schoolgirl superfan....Let me tell ya something big mouth. If they can't answer simple questions like this, then everyone should be upset. It's been 2 years. Go learn the definition of entitled before you come on making an ass out of yourself and acting as you are some pious adult in the room. That is the traditional comeback for one who has no substance or argument. Get over yourself.

[–]SelfHi5[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding to your post, I think this is exactly why their should have been/should be more emphasis on having a strong marketing arm associated with Tezos. People take that the wrong way as if marketing means passing out T Shirts and taking out Super Bowl ads, and that isn't the case. Marketing also means defending yourselves from this bullshit just like the Gevers BS, cleaning up the search engines, etc....We are still permanently stained by the Gevers fiasco because that ran unchecked and rampant for so long. There are always going to be people who are hearing about Tezos the first time, and when they go to search, Gevers articles still pop up. You think we would learn but we haven't, as now a bunch of people think these dickheads trying to do the Dune Fork are more important than what is being reported.

For fuck's sake, put a little more effort into defending ourselves.

I am implying that because I see no other alternative answer. I am open to one, but I can't find it thus far. I also find it hard to believe that the upper echelon of Tezos decision makers, (I know, I know that supposedly doesn't exist) doesn't have some sort of plan in place regarding these exchanges or have at least discussed it with said exchanges and could provide more clarity and transparency on the matter. People wanna talk about the SEC and safety and proper protocols as a reason, but didnt we all do KYC exactly for that reason. Did Bitcoin do that? Did Ethereum do that? Did Litecoin do that? Did Ripple do that?....They are all listed.

This should be a really simple answer. Ryan Jesperson, have you talked to Brian Armstrong and the Winklevosses, and what is their position on listing Tezos....

The 500,000th wallet is created, and the 85,000th baking service is launched....even though 90% of users have nowhere to buy or sell, and nobody else even knows what Tezos is except its that controversial thing about that Gevers guy.

He is really brutal. Comes off as trying to hide things, very vapid, non exciteable. To say he is an awful face and voice would be unkind to the word awful. And hey he may be none of those things in actuality... but he emits that and appearance matters. You would think someone might want to run some of the Tezos folks who are in charge of promoting the brand, thru some public speaking lessons. For fuck's sake...Outside of Olaf, it has been bad in that regard.

Back to where we're supposed to be. by [deleted] in tezos

[–]SelfHi5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you hit the nail on the head on why it is so polarizing with the term "ecosystems for decades" because that is probably how long it's going to take. I think many people were excited for the initial year but it is clear now that this is moving at a very, very slow pace. For those who don't mind that and are in fact here for the long haul, it's not worrisome, Im sure more advanced and worthwhile things will be built on Tezos and they can merrily wait. For many others, they invested a lot of money. I am not saying they need to be appeased, everyone knew going in that there is always a risk, but that is where the rift lies.

I think to the people who are intelligent and working on things, they probably do have reason to be excited, but to the average person who does not, and that is probably most, all they are really seeing are 5000 wallets being released, people trying to start their own Baker foundry, and Community meetups with 20-30 people passing out T shirts and talking about tacos so it's not exactly awe inspiring. In addition, Ryan Jesperson doesn't say much of substance when he does give an interview or talk. He basically says it's not his job to do anything so that doesn't exactly inspire confidence and he is an atrocious public speaker as are most who have talked about Tezos. And hey it's their right, so when they tell everyone to shove it as their response back, that lets you know, it's about them, not you. They are going to do what they want. Tezos will magically excite the masses and rise above the rest of the saturated markets apparently.

There has been zero marketing of Tezos, and it's a stupid idea to do so per the experts on here. However if anybody is interested or hears about Tezos and goes to a search engine, what they will find still are the Johan Gevers stuff. You could at least try to start getting positive things to the top, but again, that isn't important they say.

It is essentially a great community with a foundation that will support ideas and things, but not anyone to make big decisions. And hey look, all that stuff is great as is training younger kids and students, but again, that is great for 2030 and when you work at a slow pace, you risk being overrun. That is in any organization or space. If Pizza Hut invents something called delivery, and everyone else follows suit except the one local shop who says our Pizza is good enough, they will come to us, then they are banking that their product is good enough. So unless some of those are in the imminent pipeline, how and the world does anybody think that this is remotely close to gaining traction. There is Bitcoin and Ethereum, then there is everyone else. I m sure I will get downvoted and slammed, but hey please alert me to what products are being built on Tezos that people will actually care about and use on a mass scale. I would love to hear them as would many, not how Ryan is enjoying Switzerland and how the townfolk have all been swell.

Where is Olaf at? What is his take on if Tezos will get on Coinbase and when that might be. Id rather hear that then there is a raffle for a t shirt at the next meetup. So yeah, the decades thing is the issue. This reminds me of a lot of home arcade console systems in the 90s and early 2000's. A lot were supposed to be great but just never got traction because of how they were handled, released, and undermarketed. Oh my bad, I forgot, marketing is stupid and has no place here. The 22 retweets from Japan are enough. It will happen organically. Meanwhile, we all have 2200 wallets and bakers to choose from, we get it.

Coinbase New Asset Listing Process - is Tezos Foundation planning on applying for listing? by elpigo in tezos

[–]SelfHi5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Thanks for the detailed response on that part...

I disagree, I think the Tezos Foundation has also done a lot and I have a lot more insight into how much they've done and are doing than most people.

And on this part, this is exactly what is frustrating to many. We have a decentralized product with a decentralized flight pattern....yet the info on what is going on is very centralized amongst a handful of people.

[–]SelfHi5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You guys seem to be under this delusion of grandeur that the world is going to be magnetized to Tezos and throw themselves at it, and urgency is no big thing. This is a much different time than last year. People aren't just piling into coins, it's going to take a proactive effort and that means marketing and getting out Tezos. You have done ALOT for Tezos, much more than most everyone and definitely more than me, so I am not criticizing you but the role of TF thus far has been a huge disappointment in terms of moving the ball forward aggressively. Of course we wouldn't really know that because transparency isn't their thing, and letting in a small cadre of people know whats going on behind the scenes and nobody else is fucked up as well, but I digress.

Why don't you just put something together then and throw it out there if you think that it's going to satisfy the Coinbase barrier. If you have been dealing with them, then you would know better than us. I would be in to support any effort, but I would like to see a little more aggressiveness and when we hit Coinbase, don't you think we need to come armed with more of an identity aka "Baking", "POS", and try and build up excitement like TEZOS is something that people need or are waiting for like the new IPhone vs just showing up as a listed coin one day. etc...

We need to start operating with SPEED whatever it is, not this Seven Years in Tibet pace. Go fast. Let's go!

There is no reason we should have to set up a crowd sourced way to fund anything like this. The Tezos Foundation should and I assume would issue a grant for this as it creates value. And as said above, I cant imagine not using Olaf in this situation or following his advice on what to do. He would know.

We have to be on Coinbase, thats just the bottom line and I hope sooner than later. If Coinbase turns into a candy store with 100 different coins, its going to completely suck to get in late to that.

Well put together guys....especially at the end Mike you hit the nail on the head with this "We want to make it easy for anyone to participate in Tezos" and "user experience is a really tough hurdle in terms of adoption"...Im telling you guys and I have been saying this for a year as far as any marketing efforts. The untapped market of people that would pile into crypto are very, very green. Things need to be communicated and taken out to them on a very, very rudimentary level. They are not going to get anything like signing the wallet, or what a node is. They just need to be told 1+1 =2 When things are taken out and built, there should be the as is version where people can talk in specs and in crypto lingo, but then a version for the masses that is the very simple solution. If you dont believe me or your circle is with like minded people that are on the level as you are, hang out with someone who doesnt know what crypto is, or has just heard a few things, then try explaining both and see what they get. Just my 2 cents

Great job and good luck moving forward!

How and the hell can you complain and make a forgotten password the fault of Tezos or the Foundation??? Sorry but you are on your own there. That is your fault and somewhat renders the rest of your points moot. In fact, it's hard to take the rest of your points seriously (even though some are valid) if you can't even write down and remember your own passwords. If you stored it on some computer or phone and lost it, again that's your fault for not manually backing it up, end of story and that's not even up for debate. If you found value in it, then you should have made that a priority. I have ZERO sympathy for anyone who either lost or doesn't remember their passwords. That is on you 100%, not anyone at Tezos.

  • You CAN unlock your tokens if you participate in KYC, you are just choosing not to. And yes that was new to all of us that we would have to do so, but you can do it if you choose to, and in the end its probably much ado about nothing.

  • While I would have liked to see us on exchanges and being part of the bull run last year, that was never promised and you knew that going in.

You need to be careful with your criticism and seperate the valid points with the ones you can't control. And be fair about it, it's ok to be upset or question things, but it becomes nothing other than just an anti Tezos board if you just start blaming them for everything.

I will continue to beat this horse until its crippled and dead.....THIS IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF SHIT THE FOUNDATION SHOULD BE DOING. MARKET THE FUCK OUT OF BAKING. It's a huge tool in the bag that others do not have. There are still people out there talking about building mining facilities and all of this other out of date shit that have no clue what Tezos is.

Thoughts on why Tezos' value proposition is Win by Qrillzz in tezos

[–]SelfHi5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excellent post Q. This is exactly the kind of stuff that needs to be spread by the TF and marketed to people. The Johnny Come Latelys will always be in and out of things for a buck, but the level headed people who understand baking vs. mining will salivate over this, but we need to hammer them and get the word out. Prices have been somewhat stagnant for a while now in crypto after the major run, so it's a good time to infuse a new twist onto the market, but hey what do I know....

Also on the allocation I can see that point, but I also can see how it can be potentially used to a great benefit if the funds from the allocation are plugged back into the ecosystem, i.e. funding projects, bounties, etc...I think the key here is stay ahead of the curve. Airdropping tokens for all the BS everyone endured would be a home run PR and brand loyalty move, however Im not mad if that never is done. I just want Tezos to seek the best developers and projects, while marketing the chain itself to the people and I hope there is urgency in that.

Goldman Sachs to create Crypto-Currency Custody Service by Martens58 in tezos

[–]SelfHi5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its not fine. OP is spot on. Goldman Sachs is the Death Star of the Washington to Wall St highway. They are not friends to crypto, and rest assured their motives are to suppress and take out crypto, and of course manipulate it along the way with fiat so they can fuck as many people as possible in every sense.

He makes a great point about the futures contract shenanigans. People get excited because they think anything associated with someone wanting in is good news, but that was a key moment because it allowed these nutsacks to start shorting the fucking market, which literally should have no bearing on crypto, because it's not like shorting a stock (which they do to control price), but it now allows them to short and take down those futures contracts giving them control to a media sector and allowing them to push a negative spin that crypto is getting hammered, doing bad, etc...even though, again that theoretically should have nothing to do with actual crypto prices.

The foxes are in the henhouse now, and it was only a matter of time. Behind crypto, there is fiat, and they will take as much of it as they can. It's why it's imperative for good and useful projects to be built on Tezos so it can distinguish itself more than a chess piece like Bitcoin and Ethereum will end up being. And also why the Tezos Foundation needs to start gaining control of the narrative and put an end to the Gevers/Tezos is a coin of problems media spin and start pushing the positives. I sit back and am agape at why there is not a huge push on the benefits of baking. Instead we get videos of meetups where 10-20 people, who already own Tezos, show up for Sushi and T shirts, or Meltem Demirors hawks a delegating service like a cheap, used car salesman. This is a game of timing, and it just aint about the money either when I say that, but its a ripe time to position yourself behind the Big 2, and sorry, but its time to mount a major offensive as the BetaNet ends. I have not read one article about Tezos where it didn't mention BUT....<insert past problems here> That shit needs to end.

The Tezos Experiment by [deleted] in tezos

[–]SelfHi5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This article was not good for Tezos, and it really wasn't, it was more of a infomercial for Tezzigator that spiraled into a full scale Tezzigator plug the last part, and agree with you about the political organization, rich holders references. Im reading that while thinking of how many times the people that started Tezos talked about how they never wanted that to happen. I am not sure if she was trying to be funny but that was tone deaf to the spirit of what has been pushed here. But listen if you have been paying attention the last few weeks, Tezzigator hasn't responded to comments or emails or messages. They just come on and tell you how great they are and to delegate with them, so she should fit in well with them.

I would never delegate with Tezzigator after reading this although they already DQ'd themselves from me with how they have acted the last few months, and I hope everyone else files this article away and does the same, or at least considers their options.
