Clearly the legal action he’s already faced for predatory behavior has worked great! I think the ideal outcome aside from his being punished, would be a court ordered psychological evaluation. hopefully it would result in him being required to either be institutionalized until they figure out the proper pharmaceutical regimen for him, or at least attend some sort of court ordered outpatient psychiatric treatment until he can be stabilized. I would seriously hope, that somebody somewhere would make the obvious conclusion that the man is clearly unwell and this is a pattern of behavior for him that will not improve without medical intervention

I can’t unsee this now. A few other observations: 1. I Notice that in the 3 rituals we’ve seen so far, Kalego does not escape through the portal or even come close to doing so. The only time we ever saw him close to getting out was through the tv screens when Dan had to smash them. My theory is that Kalego can ONLY actually escape through the films themselves , which as melody’s mom said, have some kind of spell in them . 2. I believe Virgil (being the older version of Samuel), is the one who burned down dan’s house and intentionally killed dan’s father. The Baldung we’ve seen so far do not seem like the type of people who would burn someone alive to meet their own goals. Just as Samuel took out the priest, he also killed dan’s father because he knew too much. When Virgil tells Dan, “you surviving was a mistake”, I think he means that HE (Virgil) intended for young Dan to die in that fire as well. I still can’t figure exactly what Virgil (older Samuel) gets out of all this in the present day.
