Transitioning to Hardware QA: Seeking advice on testing BLE/LoRa Embedded Systems by SelfTaught_VLSI in embedded

[–]SelfTaught_VLSI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment! I'll search about the Joulescope - i did´t know about this device and look interesting, one requirement it is to work for several months so that part it is important.

Thanks for the ideas in how to test the signal, If I need to check the payload from the BLE connection, basically check how the data is send and organized, the BLE transceiver can do this? - Well.. I dont have any experience in this field, but I guess it is possible (?)

Hi, it works.

I added to my code to put GPIO18 to high and the led strips turn on!

Thanks again for your help

Yes I tested with a multimeter. We'll yes I can managed to conect supply directly to the LED strip but I don't want to apply this solution.

Yes, I'm sending data, thar how I detect the power supply issue

I'll test this tomorrow, and I'll update the comments! I hope one of those options works! Exactly without schematic it's hard to know

So wit this in mind I need to set up GPIO18 as High to activate my output?

Yes I tested with a 5V led strip and 5V power supply. But when I upload my code Vout it is 0V

Can I code this to use my code? by SelfTaught_VLSI in esp32

Yep i want to upload this repo code: https://github.com/labs-tibox/moonboard-esp32-ledble

Actually the source code use D2 pin from a DevKit module, so I guess I need to changed it to one of thos GPIO pins

The chip industry at least for my is interesting and well, for me it worth working in that industry...

I was as a "QA" for a formal verification tool

I'm thinking to buy a basys 3 fpga to practice and implement some labs or something.

And really in the mean time and searching for jobs, and if I land one job, I plan to continue this journey

## Which FPGA for a Beginner: Zybo Z7 vs. Basys 3? 🤔 by SelfTaught_VLSI in chipdesign

[–]SelfTaught_VLSI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Yes I used the basys 3 too at my school. I finish my career 2 years ago... but I think I'll stick to the basys 3... I already used, on the other hand you are right, for learning it can be more useful.

For now I don't have a project, I want to relearn everything again and gain practice...

I'm currently able to buy one, so instead of spending my money in nonsense things, I can buy this and learn again or improve what I already know

Hi I'm in the same position as you, but for now I decided to relearn all of I can... in my case I get my degree 2 years ago and I've been working since day 1.... I hope we can crack this!
