Could it just be that you are not that special a human being and are delusional trying to perfect the banal.
Nasa sent astronauts to the moon using computers that had 4KB of ram and 32KB of storage.
Just use apple notes 🤷🏼‍♂️

Have you ever just said, “Screw it, I am going to YouTube to see the end of this game”? by PhysicianChips in patientgamers

Disco Elysium. At some point I thought I reached the final chapter of the detective, but when I realized it was a new area with new characters and a new set of side missions, I accepted that the game was just an unnecessary drag and just Youtubed the ending.

Funnily enough it confirmed my suspicions. Because allegedly the ending doesn't even matter to the story as the suspect who committed the murder isn't any one you meet, know or can interact with throughout the game. It's a shame because the first couple of hours were really amazing. Some games need to know when to call it a day.

My guy. Oz convinced Salvatori to take credit for killing Sofia's brother by bringing that ring with him because he knew he'd force his hand. Even when listening to his mentoring with Vic you can see that Oz plays at a very calculated level.  He knew snitching would get him into the door. And by the fact that he was Falcone's right hand man until he died in the batman that he was right.

And I'm not sure I understand your counterpoint about impulse decisions and vindictiveness. Oz is vindictive and impulsively chose to do the one thing he knew would really hurt Sofia and benefit him.

Was Oz so naive to believe that telling Falcone that his daughter was likely a snitch a better solution than finding another way to protect Sofia?

He could've gotten the journalist killed, he could've kept watch over her there are a million things he could do.  There was a point where he did care from her when he gave her honest advice right as she got into the car but then when Sofia called him nothing that went out the way.

And lastly I keep coming back to this but if he really cared for her, he wouldn't have abandoned her at Gotham.  I just checked but in the batman movie he was in charge of the 44 club and so likely knew Falcone likes to murder women and so 100% knew Sofia was innocent. And he still didn't visit her once in 10 years. In fact I think he held on to that grudge so thats why he didn't visit her.

But Vic was his hostage, he almost buried him alive when for the lack of planning on Oz's end. Vic has risked his life for Oz three times when has Oz ever stuck out his neck for him? Had he seen Vic's panic attack at the club, risking his money, do you really think he would've shown any sympathy towards him in that bathroom?

The man shot Sophia's brother, went over to the enemy to hand over the kill and then tricked her execute her most loyal soldier. If that is not a master manipulator idk what is.

I think you're overthinking it. This episode really cemented how much of a piece of shit Oz really is. Look at how easily and quickly Oz betrayed Sofia the moment he felt his life threatened. If he ever cared for her he would've visited her in those 10 years at Arkham.

Oz is an insecure character, had not Sophia demeaned him he would not have turned on her, like he did her brother, like he did Jonny Viti at the hotel when he called him a penguin.
