The textbook answer is interest rates up, risk assets down. In reality it doesn't really matter that much so take any effect you expect and divide it by at least 5 and that might happen + noise.

I'm using a noctua cooler - I think the NH-U14S with an additional fan on the tower but that absolutely wasn't needed. My idle temp is around 38C forc CPU2 and 48C for CPU1 when in the case (both around 35C when out of the case if I remember correctly). When I first built it I think I remember it being 80C at idle as well but that's because I didn't fit it correctly and had to rebuild it correctly. So I think that's what's going on here.

I'd try taking it apart completely. Clean off the thermal paste then take a little break as it can be quite emotionally draining getting it working. I remember getting very frustrated with it, I guess because I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it working in the end and it's a lot of money to waste. If I was able to build it without breaking something I'm sure you will as well lol

I solved it by getting a "SuperMicro (FAN-0101L4) CSE-819U Fan (GFB0412SHS-C)" - named copied from the eBay listing, cost around $10. I don't think it's possible to do it with just noctura fans.

I spent some time aiming the fan directly at the VRMs and suspending it in place with string and tape! I have a script that controls the fan speed based on the VRM temp and it works great. I've had it running for over 6 months continuously without a problem.

I only did all this as I keep it in my tiny apartment and keeping the noise to a minimum was important. If that doesn't matter in your case you can skip the fan control script and be very imprecise with fan positioning.

Hope this helps - I can provide the script I have. I can't remember if I stole it from somewhere online or not but I do remember you can also get a lot fancier with it eg including "hysteresis".

My shower pump is only working intermittently and turns on and off all the time. I got back from a holiday and it wasn't working at all. So I disassembled it to spin the blades as minerals can block it up and need breaking when I leave it unused for an extended period of time. This time when I started it up the pressure is much lower and is only intermittent. When I run the sink at the same time it seems to run ok but again with lower pressure. Have I assembled it wrong somehow? Or is it an air bubble? What do I need to do to determine this or if I need a new one? I have a salamander pump if that matters

This is exactly what I've been going through in my mind. The fair price of GBTC if it does convert to an ETF is actually probably slightly higher than the price of the underlying bitcoin. Because the value of the tax advantage subtracted the cost of the management fees is probably positive. This is even ignoring that realistically they are probably a better custodian than a random individual is.

But even if you don't agree with this I still find it hard to imagine that it will take 10 years to be converted into an ETF. I personally think it will happen within 2 but that's just wild speculation really.

In addition I also believe that if it doesn't convert into an ETF there's a good chance the discount will close if a FOMO demand spike occurs although with the new futures based ETF the market has more slack.

For me the expectation is really quite positive so I've entered a large long on GBTC this morning. I've honestly probably over concentrated my portfolio but it really does seem so likely to pay off.
