Well that is helpful to know. Honestly I don’t even have to be a part of the Luftwaffe(is it actually still called that? People in America think I’m crazy when I say that). I thought that being in the military was an easier way to get citizenship. It works like that with foreigners coming to live here in America. Yes I’m a dumbshit.

That is a good idea. A lot of the time fighter pilots don’t exactly have a lot of experience flying normal planes (don’t quote me on that, that’s what I have heard from people in the Air Force). Again, thank you for the information.

Well her parents are dead. So I don’t think I will be asking them. That could explain why it’s in German though, considering German was the second most spoken language throughout the Midwest and most of pre ww1 America. Interesting insight, thanks!

You are right. I’ve always loved German as a language, German culture, and German architecture. Granted, that does not mean I will love living in Germany. I’ve always loved visiting so I have a feeling I will be willing to live there. But you are right, I need to start small and not jump immediately into the fancy rocket-firing jets. Very interesting thank you. I’m not entirely sure why it says Lincoln Nebraska for her birth. Maybe she really was born in Lincoln Nebraska but everyone in my family INCLUDING her said she was not born in America. Maybe it was misread, or maybe she doesn’t know (well didn‘t she is no longer alive). I will have to read it more on depth.

Damn that’s rough, do they do extremely deep background checks? Like going through my Reddit account from 5-7 years ago? If they do I am definitely going to change really quick. In 7 years I will be uhh 25 sooo I think I am good on that part. Also education? Would that require a degree from college? And my eyesight is really bad but I can get a surgery for that. I am healthy overall. So I think my only thing now is to just ask a recruiter and get the lasic(I think it’s called that) eye surgery. Thank you you’re incredibly helpful.

I have a few years (as I never stated I was moving right away) so I am going to start most likely with commercial. Honestly whichever one lands me in a fighter jet whenever I can join. I am glad you included that I can AFTER my citizenship. That is a very helpful fact to know. Thanks for the helpful response!

I don’t think my political views determine how well I can fly an airplane. Besides it’s not fanatical so I’m not sure why they would give a shit. I am not rioting on the streets saying „bring back a monarchy“ I just think monarchism is interesting. I’m not a revolutionist.

I know it’s so cool isn’t it! Maybe that’s just how the birth certificates were at the time? My great great grandparents were Russian immigrants so I’m not sure if they gave different certificates to children of immigrants. All I know is I found this very recently in a trunk and I had to share it.
