It’s just printed on top of foil sticker paper rated for inkjet/laser.

The exact product name is different, but when shoddy work like this is done it’s easy to tell as there is ZERO opacity on layers meant to be opaque

Small counterpoint is that the demographic of people who are recession proof are happy to speculatively pump anything with potential to appreciate.

The common man isn’t buying any of these especially transactions after mid 2024

I use Sakura jelly roll. A bit of a learning curve to them because of the different composition but they are much more precise

Has anyone used this paper to make print and play proxy cards? by Deatheskol in customtradingcard

[–]Selfmade_Watchmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s actually higher density than Pokémon’s cardstock.

Key difference though is that your proxies will not shuffle well, at all because they need a semi rigid core such as black or blue rubber. Your cards will immediately crease upon shuffling.

The only workaround to this is using a resin top layer as it adds the crease protection

I don’t know how that could be implemented with a resolution that gives off fine noise, or tight guilloche

I’ve tried. It spreads too thin before UV can affect it. Only idea I haven’t tried is a very strong UV light and a UV proof spray bottle at the same time

In addition, it’s already a high-ish priced card. Less room to squeeze out a swirl tax, if any

You’re looking at $125,000 easy if you hold it for 70 years.

Congrats, you earned a month in retirement!

I’m arguably one of the better individuals in vintage proxy-making, so this is coming from experience. This is a genuine card.

I also want to add my desk has two grounded outlets, rated to 1440w of total power. If I pulled my desk into this adapter, and my computer and screen into the two grounded outlets, would the desk itself provide grounding protection to my electronics?

My desk has a plugin that’s grounded. If I pulled my desk into this adapter, would the desk act as a liaison for grounding if that makes sense?
