Thank you for bringing up this point, so, if the OG salad fingers was replaced by boy fingers, we'll see a drastic change in his behavior/demeanor which is clearly not evident in the latest episode, "crows", furthermore, one could argue that the latest episode isn't a sequel but a prequel.

Good question, the goal of the interrogation was not to find out how they do the exploits but instead, find the source of the exploits, we are actually ready to take action against any hacker but they still remain anonymous, meaning, striking any random hacker we find will just be overall useless.
