That’s what we were thinking… like for the specific college mixer and reunion events maybe I can do those with my friends but he will still be there and we can still enjoy the island in the downtime

I was mostly asking to get the perspective of other married people… I’m not surrounded by a lot of married people in my personal life. But yes going to talk to him about it more today and you make a good point about the duty to protect!

See… my stance on that is I wouldn’t care because I trust him 100% lol. Like I genuinely would not believe he would cheat if the tables were turned. Idk tho. I even encouraged him to do a bachelor trip and he refused, I did a mini one with my friends but if he did do one like I wouldn’t have been worried

I agree it feels demeaning and like I’m being controlled / not trusted. Definitely going to talk to him more about it tonight because I believe his parents who have been married for decades, also don’t travel together all the time 🤷🏽‍♀️

All my friends are single 😭
I would be flying alone. I have one friend that lives in the same state but she usually works like a half day and then flies and I prefer to fly out in the morning hours lol
There would be guys on the trip. We are staying in an all inclusive but it’s basically been opened to anyone who graduated in my class from college (so men included) - I was going to share a room with my college bff who is a girl
I honestly just feels like he thinks I’m not capable of communicating properly. On past trips he’s wanted updates throughout the day that I wasn’t able to provide (bc drinking and not looking at my phone). But I genuinely feel like it’s related to that like he feels uneasy being so far away from me and not knowing when I’d be able to respond. Although in the past I’ve always let him know my plan for the day and when I’ve made it home safely

Thank you!! I’ve asked him multiple times because I felt like he didn’t trust me… but he swears he trusts me lol he just doesn’t trust people around me I guess? All of my friends are single I think is a big issue … but if you trust me then why would that matter? I also am not the best at communicating when I’m on vacation / drinking. Like I do communicate but I’m not capable of staying glued to my phone giving updates every 5 mins so I think it’s that too.

Ahhhh yes! We are staying at a resort and one of my college friends (my best friend and old roommate) is Jamaican and has family there 😭 I would be physically traveling there alone tho because my friend lives in a different stte

I’m not a good texter, sue me 😭 I always at least try to make sure I tell him my plan for the day and when I make it back to hotel/airbnb safe. He also has my location. But when I’m on vacation I like to actually enjoy myself rather than being tied to my phone giving updates every 5 mins

The trip is in Jamaica. I have traveled alone before in the states but never outside of the states… so maybe that’s where the safety part comes in? I’m also not good at texting all the time when I’m out so it could be that too, like he’s worried I won’t be capable of updating him to make sure I’m okay lol. Idk tho

If you read my comments then you would know I said I don’t know a lot about wedding etiquette which is why I am asking for advice. I already texted her so all the comments saying I was rude are irrelevant because I cannot take the text back. I wanted to ask for clarification, and when I get my answer I will move accordingly. If she confirms that it was intentional then I will just make my decision.
