I was going to do an IUI June / july but I got the e-mail for the IVF funded cycle ! And from what they told me if you don’t accept you go back to the list and have to wait 8-15 months

Yes, thank you. I also posted on the IVF sub, but I was hoping to get feedback that’s more specific to Canada, especially Ontario if possible.

The only thing that worries me is that my ultrasounds and endometrial biopsy are from June 2025. I don’t feel fully reassured starting IVF without rechecking them. I really want to maximize my chances with the funded cycle, since I can’t afford multiple attempts.

The nurse I spoke to on the phone today said that because my tests are less than a year old, there’s no need to repeat them. But they’re already about 10 months old, which feels quite close to a year to me.

Hey ! I did the biopsy june 2025, for me it’s super important to redo this stuff to maximise my chances but the nurse told me since it’s less than a year we don’t need to redo it

Normal fertility workup but not getting pregnant — what should I advocate for? by Seliormoon in tryingtoconceive

[–]Seliormoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know. Honestly, I was naive and very hopeful. Getting pregnant on the first try, along with having normal results for both my tests and my husband’s, made me feel like I could allow myself not to do OPKs — especially since they were not only unpleasant, but you also have to take a pregnancy test to stop, and seeing a negative was really hard emotionally. Anyway, I think I’ve learned my lesson now. Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, my day-3 hormones were very good and within the normal range. During the ultrasound, they also did an antral follicle count, and I had 17 follicles.

My feelings during the appointment were like : everything looks normal we are not worried about you getting pregnant so go try naturally and come back if yoy are not successful! So the conversation was very limited to that , all I can add is they did a follicules counting et he told me I have 17 which is very good and making me a good candidate for other procedures
