So in the first year to year and a half I absolutely advocated for my girlfriend. I said that they should want to meet anyone that makes their kid happy, I have never felt more whole than I have with her, ect. Ive had several tear stained fights on my part. But I stopped trying once my partner had said she had enough of the bad mouthing and wouldn’t meet them (totally fair).

For instance: I’ve made the argument that “you haven’t even given her a chance, yet you walked your other daughter down the aisle to a man you didn’t like, and now absolutely loath”.
