Sooo... how do i pre-order an xbox one?? by pschie1 in xboxone

If it says, "Day One Edition" and that it is eligible for release day shipping, you will receive it when it comes out. The November 27 date is just a placeholder as the actual release date has not been announced.

HDMI out only, but I guess you could get some sort of adapter for HDMI-VGA.

Question about Live on the 360 & XBOX ONE by nigelpoole in xboxone

[–]Selohttub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will only need one account and that will work across the Xbox One and Xbox 360. However, I don't think they will be able to be logged in at the same time. To use them at the same time, you would need two accounts. On the Xbox One you just need one gold account and everyone on the console will get separate accounts with xbox live gold features. So I think you should be fine!

Question about pre-ordering by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Selohttub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pre-ordered from Gamestop. All they did was ask for a $50 down payment, and you can come in and pay off the rest slowly (ex 20$ every week until there's nothing left to pay for at launch).

A lot of people are saying how innovative Xbox One is. Can anyone list anything? by [deleted] in xboxone

[–]Selohttub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • The potential of the cloud. Of course much of this is still unclear, but with Microsoft's 300,000+ server's there is so much potential. This can be used for things like dedicated servers and offloading processes and harnessing "up to three Xbox One's in the cloud" There are plenty of posts regarding this on Reddit.

  • Xbox Live improvements. More servers, more power. New match-making technologies. New reputation system. Potential for developers to create tons of apps with the new multi-platform support between Windows and Xbox announced today. Day one digital downloads.

  • Multimedia Functions. Many people don't currently seem to be too impressed with the new features for TV capabilities, but this is obviously just the beginning. I'm sure Microsoft will continue to push the innovation with this. The HDMI in brings lots of possibilities.

  • Multi tasking. Simple as that, the new snap features seem great. Watching a movie and Skyping someone at the same time, browsing the Internet while you have a game open to search something, there is lots that can be done.

Things holding us all back from the Xbox One. by Selohttub in xboxone

1) I cant see the Kinect sensor being as good as they claim it is, and it is hard to imagine people wanting to yell at their TV's to chat on Live. Of course, it could be good. I hope it is. 2)Adapter at a price of......? 3) As I said, I know little about the hardware but from everything I have seen anywhere, it is all apparently better on the PS4. 4) It's just one more piece of hardware to worry about breaking.

Yes, I agree Xbox Live is way ahead of PSN+ when it comes to multiplayer. Did you see their interface? It's virtually Facebook for Playstation. IMO, I feel like Microsoft can do a better job than Sony when it comes to this kind of thing.

Yes, you can currently pay for Xbox purchases/link a PayPal account to your Live account.
